Responsibilities
  • Deliver an exceptional customer experience in a branch environment by deepening relationships, educating customers about products and services, offering financial solutions and guidance, opening accounts, performing teller transactions, and addressing customer needs without transferring them to another retail area.
  • Meet established sales and service performance goals by developing and expanding new and current customer relationships, delivering banking solutions, and improving customer loyalty.
  • Collaborate with lines of business partners to fulfill financial needs through lending groups, wealth management, treasury solutions, and other financial services.
  • Promote digital delivery in the branch by providing customers with digital conveniences and on-demand solutions.
  • Create seamless transitions across online, mobile, in-branch, virtual branch, and customer experience center delivery channels.
  • Respond to customer feedback and complaints by identifying root causes and recommending process, policy, and product enhancements.
  • Obtain and complete proper documentation for all solutions to minimize documentation exceptions.
  • Maintain customer pipeline tracking by documenting calls and other customer and referral-source interactions through the customer engagement platform.
  • Process customer transactions including deposits, withdrawals, transfers, loan payments, official checks, loan payoffs and draws, and savings bond redemptions.
  • Order currency, audit teller drawers, balance the automated teller machine and vault, and perform branch capture procedures.
  • Recognize and navigate fraud attempts and events involving customers, individuals defrauding customers, and threats to the bank.
  • Review procedures and processes and complete self-audits using provided risk-prevention tools and resources.
  • Represent the bank in community organizations and activities to increase outreach and develop future business relationships.
  • Work with business partners, Retail Experience Administration, and Learning and Development to maintain knowledge of bank products, services, policies, processes, procedures, and systems.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
Desired Qualifications
  • College education is preferred.
  • At least one year of teller and/or cash-handling experience is preferred.
  • For Senior Universal Bankers, at least two years of successful Universal Banker experience is required for that senior designation.
  • For Senior Universal Bankers, the ability to handle complex transactions and issues with limited assistance or supervision is required.
  • For Senior Universal Bankers, operational strength with limited to no account exceptions, outages, or operational losses is required.
  • For Senior Universal Bankers, proficiency in all aspects of bank products and solutions, including individual retirement accounts and complex business accounts, is required.
