Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
  • 10+ years of professional experience in CA IDMS and related products
  • Extensive experience with database administration and tuning
  • System programming knowledge of multiple DBMS’s is a bonus
  • Experience in a large, 24x7 environment and ability to manage competing priorities
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work as part of a team and assist teammates
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently
Responsibilities
  • Perform mainframe database software upgrades and administration
  • Work with vendor personnel to achieve timely solutions to database problems
  • Day-to-day database maintenance such as definition changes, backups, monitoring space growth, reorganizations, etc.
  • Provide 24x7 on-call support as part of a scheduled rotation
  • Maintain documentation for all tasks completed
  • Adhere to the change management policy
