Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or business; and ten years Manager experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Detail oriented with organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent leadership and management abilities.
  • Knowledge of ISO 9000 and Lean Manufacturing.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills and the ability to conduct meeting and/or presentations.
  • Experienced in Change Management and Continuous Improvement.
Responsibilities
  • Direct and managing the day-to-day activities of the plant’s operations, typically through subordinate operation Managers.
  • Foster a 'safety first' culture through awareness, training, and accountability.
  • Provide guidance to help other operational leaders achieve established standards of service, quality, accuracy, and productivity.
  • Develop and set clear goals and expectations regarding performance and accountability and provide regular constructive feedback.
  • Planning and execution will take center stage as you set individual and team priorities and proactively structure resources.
  • The ability to solve complex problems and/or work in collaboration with problem solving teams.
  • Seek measures that reduce rework and scrap to improve profit margin.
  • Manage the development of new production processes and Engineering changes.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure a seamless and integrated approach to operations.
  • Leverage Lean Six Sigma and analytical skills to identify gaps and implement process improvements.
  • Provide support and training to Managers and Supervisors to meet or exceed Plant Measurables.
