Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree in engineering, Construction Management, or a related field, or equivalent industry experience.
  • At least 10 years of progressive experience in wind energy, heavy construction, or industrial operations.
  • At least 5 years of experience leading multi-site field execution teams.
  • Direct experience with wind repower, major component replacement, or crane-intensive projects.
  • Strong commercial, financial, project management, and customer-facing experience.
  • Ability and willingness to travel up to 30%.
Responsibilities
  • Lead and develop field teams, including Site Managers, Construction Managers, technicians, subcontractors, and vendor partners.
  • Ensure adherence to operational procedures, work instructions, quality standards, and industry best practices across project sites.
  • Optimize workforce planning and resource allocation across concurrent projects.
  • Establish productivity benchmarks for turbine completion rates, crane utilization, rework metrics, and schedule performance, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Own field readiness across the portfolio, including tooling, equipment availability, training and certification compliance, and crew composition standards.
  • Champion safety culture and partner with HSE on incident prevention, investigations, corrective actions, and safety improvement initiatives.
  • Coordinate component availability, lead-time management, and delivery sequencing with Procurement and Supply Chain teams.
  • Direct site logistics planning, including laydown yards, component staging, transportation windows, and crane mobilization and demobilization.
  • Manage subcontractor and vendor performance in the field, including crane providers, transportation partners, and specialty service contractors.
  • Identify and mitigate supply chain risks, including component delays, transportation constraints, weather impacts, and resource availability challenges.
  • Implement Lean methodologies and process optimization across project planning, field execution, commissioning, and project closeout workflows.
  • Standardize execution playbooks, including work packages, inspection and test plans, commissioning checklists, and lessons-learned processes.
  • Develop and maintain operational KPI dashboards and reporting structures, and establish daily, weekly, and monthly operating reviews.
  • Evaluate and deploy tools, technology, and reporting solutions that improve field productivity, documentation quality, and operational visibility.
  • Represent the Vice President, Repower, in customer meetings, leadership forums, and cross-functional initiatives as needed.
  • Contribute execution-focused input to divisional strategy, annual planning, resource forecasting, bid/no-bid decisions, and proposal reviews.
  • Build and strengthen the field leadership bench through recruiting, development, succession planning, and career progression initiatives.
  • Collaborate with Long-Term O&M and SFS service lines on shared resource planning, technician deployment strategies, and cross-functional business opportunities.
