  • Bachelor’s Degree in technology, business, liberal arts, science, or engineering.
  • 5-7 years’ experience in Product Management, including owning a product roadmap and driving Agile processes.
  • Excellent analytical and conceptual thinking skills and a high attention to detail.
  • Business acumen to identify opportunities, facilitate strategic planning, and use data and storytelling to influence.
  • Ability to balance short term needs with long-term strategy.
  • Strong relationship building skills, including an ability to influence stakeholders and scrum team members.
  • Exceptional communication skills (verbal and written) across all levels of the organization.
  • Experience overseeing all or some phases of the product development lifecycle.
  • Experience working in agile methodologies and working on an agile team.
  • Prior experience as a product manager for a P&C policy admin system required
Responsibilities
  • Owns the 12-month product roadmap and align the scrum team around delivery of high value business outcomes.
  • Researches and identifies emerging market and technology needs to influence the market roadmap and promote innovation and differentiation.
  • Uses data to validate roadmap prioritization and proposed solution builds. Ensures that we are solving the right problems and that these problems are worth solving.
  • Builds deep business domain and user and client expertise to identify product and market opportunities.
  • Acts as the subject matter expert for their assigned product and market.
  • Translates business requirements into technical requirements.
  • Documents requirements in the form of user stories to create a shared understanding with Engineering teams.
  • Develops, refines, and documents other product artifacts (Ex: Visual collaboration documents, Lucid Chart workflows, etc.)
  • In partnership with Engineering, Design and Architecture teams, builds system designs.
  • Validates all product & engineering artifacts (User Stories/Acceptance Criteria, Visual Collaboration documents, design documents, etc.) to ensure risks to value, viability, feasibility, and usability are addressed upfront.
  • Participates in quarterly release planning activities, driving direction and prioritization for each quarter.
  • Serves as the product owner of the scrum team to plan the work of the team and resolve in-sprint issues.
  • Acts as a ruthless “prioritizer” while balancing the needs of clients and stakeholders.
  • Performs necessary backlog maintenance, such as identifying escalated feature or bug requests and preparing them for upcoming sprints.
  • In partnership with Engineering, Design and Architecture teams, builds system designs; Validates all system designs that impact your product.
  • In conjunction with the Product Analyst, oversees that the totality of delivered user stories meet the epic’s definition of done.
  • Serves as the day-to-day contact for the team on clarification of requirements and drives the teams’ refinement ceremony.
  • Acts as the product point of contact for all sprint ceremonies: sprint planning, refinement, sprint demo, retrospective, etc.
  • Ensures backlog health meets the demands of the team as set/determined by Product Leadership.
  • Performs functional testing and confirm sprint demos to ensure delivery of quality software.
  • Partners with business stakeholders to align to strategic long-term roadmaps and ensure delivery of the aligned product outcomes.
  • Aligns stakeholders across the organization to ensure transparency of prioritization and roadmap status.
  • Acts as a liaison between stakeholder and development teams.
  • Drives the agenda and facilitate meetings with Analysts to obtain roadmap feedback.
  • Partners with marketing and operations to provide market and product responses to RFIs.
  • Champions and models Origami Risk’s values (Prioritize Clients’ Trust and Success, Innovate with an Entrepreneurial Spirit, Collaborate and Win as a Team)
  • Other duties as assigned.

Origami Risk, a risk and insurance software firm, has announced new platform solutions designed to streamline workflows and reduce manual processes. The updates include an AI Claim Summary tool, a Book of Business Transfer solution and an enhanced Pay-As-You-Go workflow. The AI Claim Summary uses generative AI to automatically extract and structure claim information, providing real-time overviews that update as records change. The Book of Business Transfer feature enables bulk policy transfers without manual endorsement forms, whilst the enhanced Pay-As-You-Go workflow allows policyholders to upload payroll files and automatically apply credit balances. The updates include new capabilities for AI-driven claims analysis, bulk policy transfers and payroll-based billing, aimed at reducing manual processes and improving operational efficiency. The new AI Claim Summary solution uses generative AI to extract and structure claim data, providing a consolidated, real-time view of claim activity, including policy details, involved parties, loss events and financial information. The company says the capability is designed to help claims professionals manage high volumes of data, enabling faster and more consistent decision-making. Origami Risk has also introduced a Book of Business Transfer solution that allows insurers and brokers to move large volumes of policies through a governed bulk process, reducing the need for manual reassignment and minimizing errors and compliance risk. In addition, enhancements to its Pay-As-You-Go workflow enable policyholders to upload payroll data, review totals and apply balances within a single interface, while supporting underwriting configuration and improving data accuracy for finance teams.
