Requirements
- 5+ years accounting experience and 3+ years management experience.
- Knowledge of securities industry compensation practices.
- Maintain internal controls to mitigate risk within the department.
- Ability to balance and prioritize critical responsibilities to ensure all deadlines are met on a timely basis.
- Ability to prepare and develop team members for additional responsibility.
- Strong leadership, organizational and analytical skills.
- Strong interpersonal, written and oral communication skills.
- Extensive knowledge of securities industry compensation practices.
- Advanced degree in Accounting or Finance.
- CPA
Responsibilities
- Maintain and enhance financial control processes to ensure accurate records, separation of duties and adherence to policies and procedures.
- Ensure plan payments are properly reflected in the firm’s financial statements, including month-end accruals.
- Ensure a high quality of service is provided to Branch Managers, Financial Advisors and Branch Associates and that the department meets its CARE commitments.
- Raise critical issues with the department Director and other appropriate individuals to facilitate their resolution.
- Application System owner for the 4 major applications used by the department. Responsible for all systems development, enhancements and testing.
- Identify and implement continuous process and service improvements.
