- At least 5 years of accounting experience and 3 years of management experience.
- Knowledge of securities industry compensation practices.
- Ability to maintain internal controls to mitigate risk within the department.
- Ability to balance and prioritize critical responsibilities so that all deadlines are met promptly.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and analytical skills.
- Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
- An advanced degree in Accounting or Finance.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) credential.
- Maintain and enhance financial control processes to ensure accurate records, separation of duties, and adherence to policies and procedures.
- Ensure plan payments are properly reflected in the firm's financial statements, including month-end accruals.
- Ensure a high quality of service is provided to Branch Managers, Financial Advisors, and Branch Associates and that the department meets its CARE commitments.
- Raise critical issues with the department Director and other appropriate individuals to facilitate their resolution.
- Own the four major applications used by the department and be responsible for all systems development, enhancements, and testing.
- Identify and implement continuous process and service improvements.
- Prepare and develop team members for additional responsibility.
