Requirements
  • 3-5 Years of experience with Git in Linux environment
  • 3-5 years of experience working with Linux, Unix
  • 1-2 years of experience with continuous integration systems (i.e. TeamCity, Buildbot, Jenkins etc)
  • 1-2 years of experience with Python, Perl etc for developing cron (timeline) jobs, automation scripts etc
Responsibilities
  • Manage the daily flow of software being developed across the globe and maintain the health of the software repositories
  • Be responsible for ownership of delivering the software to various internal teams and organizations, ensuring that all incremental changes and patches are synchronized to different build lines and build systems
  • Ensure that software being developed by external vendors and teams is properly sanitized, integrated and shared
  • Produce periodic builds of the software and make them available for various validation teams and coordinate the flow of defect fixes into the stable build lines
  • Leverage automation of software patch and build management and enhance existing processes to improve them continuously
  • Guide team members within and outside the organization to sound practices
  • Develop automation scripts to automate the process of code flow, patch management as much as possible
  • Be passionate about automation in general
Desired Qualifications
  • OpenSource in creating OpenSource environments
  • Knowledge of Hadoop
  • Cloud experience is a bonus, especially with Eucalyptus, Puppet or OpenStack
