Requirements
  • Four-year degree in Accounting and 2 - 3 years of related experience
  • Strong accounting skills, knowledge of GAAP related to lease asset accounting
  • Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, v-lookups, formulas) and ability to work with large datasets.
  • Strong PC and systems experience
  • Highly detail-oriented
  • Excellent communication, problem solving, organization and analytical skills
  • High level of initiative and ability to work independently
  • Ability to effectively communicate and positively interact with various levels of management and business partners
Responsibilities
  • Drive the accounting and reporting for Target Properties, including accruals, reclasses, accounting corrections and disclosures.
  • Support the Lease Accounting team by reviewing leases, booking journal entries and assisting with researching reconciliations and analyzing monthly balances.
  • Develop strong relationships and provide client support to Properties and Lease Accounting business partners.
  • Drive innovation and analytics to improve processes
Desired Qualifications
  • Exposure to ASC 842 lease accounting concepts
  • Ability to interpret contracts and summarize key financial information
  • SAP general ledger and related reporting tools (AFO, BW)
  • Intermediate to advance experience working with Microsoft Excel
  • Experience working with large and complex datasets and analysis
