Purpose of Role:
The purpose of this role is to support the management of the UK CEO Office to drive initiatives across growth, governance, engagement and strategy.
Main Responsibilities:
Growth
- Assist the implementation of key product initiatives essential to UK Strategy – e.g. CF Global acquisition & UK TA
- Review and implement, alongside relevant SMEs and global Strategic Business Growth team, key product innovations / acquisitions that impact the UK
- Drive and develop a truly One State Street culture
- Work with the Commercial Office to drive UK growth strategies, pipeline reviews and other MI
Governance
- Set up and maintain key documentation required for the management of the SMF 19 (UK CEO) office
- Facilitate ad hoc reviews of UK governance processes
- Produce and present regular reporting to the SMF19 (UK CEO)
- Develop relationships with and offer support to all other UK SMFs where possible
Engagement
- Develop and own the execution of various UK employee engagement and IDE actions
- Facilitate the implementation of a UK Talent Council
- Analyse results of employee survey results and define actions and next steps
- Support internal communication on town hall and other comms planning
- Drive collaboration between teams such as employee networks, corporate citizenship and HR
Strategy
- Facilitate the development and implementation of business plans for businesses in the UK in line with corporate goals, corporate and regional risk appetite, liability management and capital and liquidity considerations
- Maintain an understanding of the global, regional and divisional strategies and operating models impacting the UK businesses & work to imbed interests of the UK businesses into these strategies
- Analyze the UK financials to determine opportunities for business growth, revenue gaps and potential new to existing opportunities
- Review cost base to identify areas of savings and efficiencies
- Work with internal stakeholders to collate a coherent UK strategy on a quarterly and annual basis
- Organize weekly UK management team meeting, quarterly UK Country Committee strategy review and annual UK management offsite
UK CEO Support
- Work with UK CEO’s EA to facilitate efficient and strategic time management and organization
- Work with internal teams to prepare UK CEO for external engagements
- Support the UK CEO on any day-to-day ad hoc tasks across all topics e.g. research into various items
- Manage various items that need to be approved by UK CEO e.g. budget requests
- Develop and maintain relationships with key internal stakeholders, clients and industry peers
- Deputize for UK Country Head / UK CEO office team members at internal and external meetings
PERSON SPECIFICATION
Level of Education/ Specific Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree
Skills and Experience -
- Confident self-starter who can work under pressure, using their own initiative and with the drive to work to aggressive deadlines and to see tasks through to completion
- Excellent communicator and influencer, able to build relationships with colleagues at all levels from a range of departments, business areas and cultures
- Ability to drive cross-product collaboration
- Ability to assimilate, translate and communicate business concepts and requirements
- Ability to navigate multiple stakeholders across different levels of seniority
- Ability to anticipate challenges and opportunities
- Experience managing projects
- Proficiency on Microsoft Office (inc. Excel) and Salesforce
