Requirements
  • A minimum of 4 years of security experience including access control, security escorting, personnel security, industrial security, information security, and physical security.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, including Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Administrative support experience and strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Knowledge of the Trusted Associate Sponsorship System, NP2 Secure Portal including the Electronic Questionnaire for Investigations Processing, Personnel Investigations Processing Systems, and Central Verification System, Defense Information System for Security, Case Adjudication Tracking System, Joint Verification System, and Secure Web Fingerprint Transmission and Secure Web Fingerprint Transmission Plus Enrollment.
  • Possess and maintain a minimum Secret security clearance.
Responsibilities
  • Perform, prepare, and process security support actions using knowledge of Army regulations for physical security, operations security, antiterrorism, information security, and personnel security.
  • Assist with event activities, including setup, teardown, and execution of organizational events.
  • Greet visitors entering buildings.
  • Verify personnel credentials and screen visitors for building access.
  • Issue escorted or unescorted visitor badges and collect badges when visitors depart buildings.
  • Maintain logs and inventory of incoming and outgoing visitors and badges.
  • Register personnel in the security system by inputting data, assigning access permissions, and encoding Common Access Cards; print visitor passes and badges, create and edit cardholder records, and run card and pass access reports.
  • Use the access control and security systems, including readers, cameras, and digital video recording equipment.
  • Maintain and update access-control standard operating procedures, desk manuals, personnel phone lists, and resident seating locations.
  • Identify security-system issues, submit service requests, and interact with technicians.
  • Troubleshoot low-level access-control failures.
