Requirements
  • Apprenticeship or Journeyman certification or equivalent in HVAC refrigeration mechanics
  • Basic computer skills required (MS Office Applications)
  • Class A Gas Fitting, Electrician/Sheetmetal, and/or Hydronic experience is an asset
  • Strong customer service and relationship-building skills
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
  • Effective communication skills and ability to work in a team
  • Willingness to learn and develop technical skills through on-the-job training
  • Class 5 Driver’s License with a clean Driver's Abstract
  • Ability to work independently and on-call
  • Ability to work out of town. Travel and overnight stays may be required from time to time
Responsibilities
  • Installation of welded, threaded, and/or brazed refrigeration piping systems
  • Conduct start-ups, inspections, troubleshooting, and preventative maintenance for refrigeration/HVAC systems, resolving system issues as needed
  • Complete regulatory paperwork regarding refrigerant release, ABSA, CFIA, etc.
  • Troubleshoot refrigeration/HVAC electrical control systems and perform necessary repairs
  • Perform all work in compliance with the Quality Control and Health & Safety program
  • Take on additional duties as required to support job functions
  • Deliver exceptional customer service with professionalism, competence, and integrity
  • Ensure accurate and timely completion of paperwork and reports to facilitate prompt invoicing and support customer and company needs
  • Prioritize workplace safety by adhering to all safety protocols and fostering a secure environment for colleagues and clients
  • Collaborate effectively within a team-oriented environment
