Cost Controller/Planner

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for being the focal point for specific project scopes as a Planner and Scheduler. 
• Develop integrated, accurate and detailed project baseline plan and schedule in alignment with the Work Breakdown Structure (WBS).
• Monitor and control the baselined plan and schedule using appropriate scheduling technique. 
• Determine activity relationships collaborating with respective disciplinary planners, engineers, and construction contractors to create work activity linkages. 
• Monitor critical and near critical path activities and generate daily report during execution. 
• Ability to level resources and produce resource histograms for baseline and schedule updates. 
• Provides communication regarding schedule analysis, earned value, managing timelines, measuring progress and generating reports. 
• Prepare and produce progress performance and forecasts KPI’s and submit formal communication of KPI’s as needed. 
• Update the schedule progress, analyze the data for opportunities, identify recovery plans and communicate schedule performance risks. 
• Review change notifications and communicate the schedule impact. 
• Participate in schedule risk analysis.
• Initialize budgetary control system and documentation for project.
• Prepare forecasts, cost trend reports and monitor cost and commitment to budget and forecast.
• Provide planning and cost controlling support for all projects which includes variation reporting, monitoring of milestone progress to the preparation of customer billing processes, etc.
• Provide cost control advice to the internal Project Management team as and when required. Attend project meetings and discussions with the Project Management team.
• Perform project costing related reporting to the team and management’s review to ensure that expenditures are kept within the project budget.
• Monitor man-hours and cost progress.
• Prepare reports on deviations, under-runs and overruns.
• Carry out the necessary research and assemble all information regarding the cost situation.
• Maintain change control and the change order register as well as cost reports, change registers, contract and bulletin registers.
• Control and monitor project total expenditure including verifying and checking of invoices and claims from suppliers, vendors and subcontractors to ensure that all project expenditures are captured and properly recorded.

In addition to the responsibilities listed herein, the employee may be required to perform other ad-hoc tasks as needed or directed by the supervisor or management. These tasks will be within the reasonable scope of the employee's skills, capabilities, and role within the organization. The intent of this provision is to allow for flexibility and adaptability in meeting the dynamic needs of the organization, ensuring that operational requirements can be met efficiently. All such tasks will be assigned considering the employee's current workload and with respect to their professional development.

Knowledge/ Qualification/ Training/ Certification: 

• Diploma holder or higher qualification required. Degree holder preferred. 
• 7+ years Planning/Scheduling experience within Oil and Gas Industry and Commissioning project experience is required. 
• Experience with critical path method analysis/technique with Primavera. 
• Proficient with Primavera P6, Excel and preferably/Power BI. 
• Proficient computer skills, SharePoint, Outlook, MS Excel, MS Word.
• Demonstrated previous experience in creating projects, creating orders, monitoring deliverables, monitoring the progress against the hours and monitoring costs.
• CCP/T from AACEI is a plus.

Communication:

• Excellent command of the English language in both oral and written communication and skills.
• Able to effectively communicate commercial solutions and concepts to project personnel.
