Due to Federal contract requirements, US citizenship and a TS/SCI security clearance is required for this position.
The day-to-day:
As a Technical Writer you will utilize basic grammar concepts and writing techniques to write technical copies of various types of documents. You’ll work closely with developers to produce quality documentation and training materials and prepare reports, responses, and briefings targeted to a wide range of audiences. You’ll need the ability to interpret engineering and maintenance drawings, operational procedures to understand and blend large quantities of computer related information.
Basic Qualifications:
- TS/SCI w/ poly
- Eight (8) years experience as a TW in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university is required.
- A Master’s degree may be substituted for two (2) years of experience, reducing the requirement to six (6) years of experience.
- Four (4) years of additional TW experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.
