Honeywell has completed its split into three separate public companies, with Honeywell Technologies retaining the HON ticker and Honeywell Aerospace beginning trading on 29 June. The advanced-materials operation became Solstice Advanced Materials in October 2025. CNBC's Jim Cramer views Honeywell Aerospace as an interesting long-term opportunity, comparing the breakup to General Electric's multi-year split. He suggests targeted companies can eventually achieve higher valuations than their parent conglomerates, though it may take several quarters for markets to recognise this value. Honeywell Technologies reported second-quarter sales of $5.2 billion, up 3% overall and 4% organically. Orders increased 16%, creating a backlog exceeding $20 billion. Building Automation revenues grew 9% on data centre and healthcare demand, whilst Industrial Automation sales rose 4%.
Kenneth J. West, President and CEO of Process Technologies at Honeywell International, sold 17,032 shares of common stock for $4.2 million on 27 July 2026, according to an SEC filing. The shares were sold at $243.77 each. The transaction involved West exercising stock options with an exercise price of $200.61 and immediately selling the shares. Following the sale, West reduced his direct common stock ownership by 89%. West retains 2,132 shares held directly, 373 shares held indirectly through a 401(k) plan, and 4,867 derivative securities in the form of employee stock options. His total beneficial ownership is valued at $618,860 based on Honeywell's closing price of $247.05 on 28 July 2026. Honeywell is a diversified technology and manufacturing conglomerate with a market capitalisation of $78.3 billion.
Honeywell International reported 4% organic sales growth in Q2 2026, driven by Building Automation and Industrial Automation. The company posted adjusted earnings per share of $1.95, up 10% year-over-year, whilst segment margins expanded by 100 basis points to 19%. Orders grew 16% organically, with ending backlog rising 9%. Free cash flow reached approximately $500 million for the quarter. The company raised its full-year outlook, now expecting organic sales growth of 3% to 4% and adjusted EPS of $8.20 at midpoint. Free cash flow conversion is forecast at approximately 95% for 2026. Process Automation Technologies sales declined 1% organically, though this exceeded original expectations. Honeywell's divestitures of Productivity Solutions and Services and Warehouse and Workflow Solutions are expected to reduce 2026 revenue by approximately $400 million.
Honeywell International reported $5.19 billion in revenue for the quarter ending June 2026, marking a 49.9% year-over-year decline. The figure exceeded the consensus estimate of $4.98 billion by 4.19%. Earnings per share came in at $1.95, down from $5.50 a year earlier, but beat the $1.80 estimate by 8.33%. Key segments showed mixed results. Industrial Automation generated $1.5 billion in net sales, down 36.9% year-over-year but above the $1.45 billion estimate. Building Automation segment profit reached $542 million, surpassing the $526.58 million forecast. Aerospace Technologies segment profit of $1.13 billion fell short of the $1.17 billion estimate. Honeywell shares have declined 48.8% over the past month.
Honeywell Technologies is experiencing weakness in its Process Automation and Technology segment, with organic revenues declining 6% year-over-year in the first quarter of 2026. The decline stemmed from a 10% drop in aftermarket business organic sales due to lower refining catalyst shipments and project delays. Reduced customer demand in the Middle East amid ongoing geopolitical tensions further impacted results. The company expects the Middle East conflict to adversely affect the segment's sales by 1% in the second quarter. However, growing orders across petrochemical and refining verticals may drive long-term performance, with Process Technology segment orders increasing 11% year-over-year in the first quarter. Honeywell Technologies became a standalone public company on 29 June following the spin-off of its Aerospace Technologies business, completing a multi-year portfolio restructuring.
