Responsibilities
  • Performs basic programming of Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) part programs utilizing PC-DMIS software
  • Operates Coordinate Measuring Machine and capable of troubleshooting CMM software and hardware issues
  • Uses process control documents, inspection plans, and prescribed specifications to visually and dimensionally inspect in-process and completed components, subassemblies and assemblies
  • Uses various measuring devices such as calipers, micrometers, thickness gauges, height gauges, and shore A & D hardness gauges
  • Works from process documents, customer specifications, drawing or inspection instructions and checklists
  • May monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures
  • Performs line inspections after critical operations to ensure all materials, components, and/or assemblies are acceptable.
