Requirements
- High School Diploma / GED (or higher)
- Active and unrestricted Pharmacy Technician license in the state of Florida
- Access to reliable transportation & valid US driver's license
- National Pharmacy Technician Certification
- Pharmacy and prescription data entry experience
- At least 2 years of prior experience in retail pharmacy
- Bilingual English and Spanish required
Responsibilities
- Inventory - Handles, moves and displays drugs in safe and appropriate ways. Tracks drugs, maintains in-stock levels and controls shrinkage in a timely manner. Checks deliveries for accuracy and notifies Pharmacy Manager/vendor of discrepancies. Responds to recalls and out-of-date / dead stock timely returns. Reports poor inventory practices and low in-stock levels in assigned area. Uses inventory tools in a correct way and keep drugs stocked and organized
- Drug Diversion - Supports the prevention of drug diversion. Monitors dispensary access and maintains security measures
- Point-of-Sale - Follows proper procedures to prevent shrink and follows applicable laws and regulations. Uses the cash register and completes patient sales in a timely manner. Reports complaints, shrink issues and problems with drugs
- Customer/Patient Centered - Shows care and concern when serving our patients. Uses policies and information in order to exceed patient expectations. Finds and uses the right resources (people, tools) at the right time to resolve patient requests
- Planning and Improvement - Accepts responsibility and meets expectations for own work. Identifies steps needed to carry out work as required
- Influence and Communicate - Listens to others and asks questions to learn about what is needed. Communicates the right information to peers and leaders when they need it. Communicates in a respectful and professional manner
- Execution and Results - Makes sure work is done correctly. Works on top priorities first and makes a consistent effort to get results. Takes action to solve problems so work can be completed in a timely manner
- Ethics and Compliance - Follows company policies and procedures. Shows integrity and ethical behavior in all work situations. Reports ethical and compliance issues promptly
