Requirements
  • The candidate must have at least 5 years of experience actively developing and/or managing virtual technologies, including VMware, Linux, OpenShift, Kubernetes, and Docker.
  • The candidate must have at least 3 years of management experience and 10 years of total professional experience.
  • The candidate must have a demonstrable foundation in microservices and software design for cloud environments.
  • The candidate must have experience leading distributed, multidisciplinary teams across different time zones.
  • The candidate must have experience leading teams for cloud-native architectures, including microservices, security, and compliance, at scale.
  • The candidate must have experience managing teams of 5–10 people with measurable team and product success.
  • The candidate must have technical leadership and management experience in IT infrastructure engineering and DevOps environments.
  • The candidate must be able to obtain and maintain a Department of Defense security clearance.
  • The candidate must have organizational and mentoring skills.
  • The candidate must have verbal and written communication skills.
  • The candidate must be detail oriented.
Responsibilities
  • Design and deploy functional networks and private cloud platforms, including local area networks, wide area networks, and on-premises compute, as a member of product and corporate infrastructure teams supporting custom applications and DevOps processes.
  • Resolve issues escalated by lower service desk tiers by troubleshooting deployed, cloud, and local infrastructure.
  • Automate tasks and monitor their effectiveness.
  • Mentor team members on technical issues.
  • Create, oversee, and test security measures such as access authentication and disaster recovery.
  • Communicate with users to design and field optimal solutions.
  • Design and implement solutions to deliver superior network performance, capacity, and scalability.
  • Maintain complete technical documentation in support of Authorization to Operate packages.
  • Support infrastructure and compute requirements across multiple locations.
  • Build and maintain infrastructure platforms based on VMware and Linux stacks.
  • Create and own processes that enhance the team and streamline processes.
Desired Qualifications
  • An active Department of Defense security clearance.
  • Security+ certification.
  • Linux, VMware, OpenShift, and Kubernetes certifications.
