Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Events, Marketing, Communications, Hospitality, Business, Event Management, or a related field
  • Corporate Events Professional (5+ years) minimum 5 years of experience planning and executing corporate events, conferences, tradeshows, hosted events, sponsorship activations, or experiential marketing programs
  • Demonstrated experience independently managing events from planning through onsite execution and post-event evaluation
  • Experience leading project kickoff meetings, planning calls, and cross-functional working sessions with internal stakeholders and external partners
  • Experience presenting event recommendations, project updates, event plans, budgets, and post-event results to stakeholders and leadership teams
  • Experience developing and managing project plans across multiple concurrent events
  • Experience managing multiple complex events simultaneously while balancing competing stakeholder priorities and deadlines
  • Experience managing event budgets, timelines, vendors, contracts, and stakeholder communications
  • Experience working with venues, hotels, production companies, exhibit partners, and event suppliers
  • Experience leading onsite teams, vendors, volunteers, or event staff during live event execution

Responsibilities
  • Partner with stakeholders to develop and execute event plans that support business goals and create meaningful attendee experiences, including consult with integrated marketing teams and business stakeholders to understand objectives, audiences, success measures, and event requirements
  • Recommend event formats, approaches, and engagement opportunities aligned to business goals and budget considerations
  • Develop comprehensive project plans, timelines, communication plans, and planning calendars
  • Manage event budgets and forecasting, ensuring programs remain on budget and financial risks are proactively identified and communicated
  • Collaborate with content, engagement strategy, creative, and communications teams throughout the planning process
  • Identify opportunities to enhance attendee experiences and strengthen the Verisk brand across events
  • Provide recommendations to stakeholders throughout the event lifecycle to support successful event outcomes
  • Manage all aspects of event logistics, including venue coordination, catering, transportation, room sets, registration, rooming lists, signage, production, shipping, and onsite operations
  • Manage a high-volume portfolio of events annually, balancing multiple planning timelines, competing priorities, and varying levels of complexity across tradeshows, hosted events, conferences, and employee engagement programs
  • Lead the execution of industry tradeshows ranging from tabletop activations to larger custom exhibits, coordinating booth strategy implementation, exhibit properties, agency partners, show organizers, vendors, shipping, and onsite execution requirements
  • Review venue and vendor agreements; identify potential concerns, ensure event requirements are accurately reflected, and partner with sourcing, contracts, legal, and stakeholder teams throughout the contracting process
  • Plan and execute hosted client events ranging from executive dinners and roundtables to multi-day trainings, customer meetings, hosted conferences, and flagship events of varying size and complexity
  • Support employee engagement programs including office activations, leadership meetings, incentive trips, sales meetings, celebrations, and special events
  • Manage registration processes and attendee communications in partnership with event technology and marketing teams
  • Coordinate speakers, executives, staff, and vendor partners to ensure readiness for event participation
  • Coordinate exhibit assets, promotional materials, merchandise, and event shipments to ensure event readiness and successful onsite execution
  • Develop run-of-show documents, staffing plans, contingency plans, and onsite operating procedures
  • Lead onsite execution and serve as the primary point of contact for assigned events
  • Anticipate challenges, troubleshoot issues, make decisions, and provide updates in real time to ensure successful event delivery
  • Serve as the primary contact for assigned events and maintain consistent communication throughout the planning process
  • Partner with stakeholders across Marketing, Sales, Human Resources, Facilities, Procurement, Finance, Legal, and business teams
  • Manage relationships with venues, hotels, agencies, production companies, exhibit houses, transportation providers, and event vendors, including oversight of project deliverables, timelines, budgets, and execution expectations
  • Coordinate vendor contracts, statements of work, deliverables, and timelines in partnership with sourcing and contracts teams
  • Support speaker management, executive participation, and presentation readiness activities
  • Balance competing priorities while delivering a high level of service, responsiveness, and professionalism
  • Develop and manage event budgets, forecasts, and reconciliation processes
  • Monitor expenses throughout the planning lifecycle and identify opportunities for cost savings
  • Manage purchase orders, invoices, and expense tracking in accordance with company policies
  • Provide budget updates and financial reporting to stakeholders
  • Ensure all event expenses are accurately reconciled and documented following event completion
  • Develop post-event reports evaluating attendance, engagement, satisfaction, operational success, and business outcomes, and capture recommendations to inform future planning
  • Analyze attendee feedback, engagement metrics, and event performance data to identify opportunities for improvement
  • Share insights, recommendations, and best practices that support future event planning efforts
  • Contribute to measurement frameworks and reporting standards across the Experiential Marketing organization
  • Support strategic initiatives across the Experiential Marketing team, including flagship events, tradeshows, sponsored events, hosted experiences, employee engagement programs, and enterprise-wide initiatives
  • Partner closely with engagement strategy, content, operations, integrated marketing, and business teams to deliver successful event outcomes
  • Share best practices, lessons learned, and process improvements across the event portfolio
  • Serve as a resource and mentor to coordinators and newer team members
  • Participate in planning sessions, team projects, and post-event retrospectives
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, scalability, and consistency across the event portfolio through process improvements, standardization, automation, and best practices
  • Contribute to the development of templates, playbooks, planning tools, and standard operating procedures
  • Recommend innovative ideas, technologies, and approaches that enhance event experiences
  • Stay informed on industry trends, event technologies, venue developments, and experiential marketing best practices and regularly share insights with the team

Verisk Analytics CEO sells $550K in shares under pre-arranged trading plan

Verisk Analytics CEO Lee Shavel sold 2,500 shares of common stock for $550,000 on 29 July 2026, according to an SEC filing. The shares were sold at a weighted average price of $220.00. The transaction was executed under a pre-arranged Rule 10b5-1 trading plan adopted by Shavel in December 2025. Such plans allow company insiders to sell predetermined numbers of shares at set times whilst avoiding concerns about trading on material non-public information. Following the sale, Shavel retains a direct position of 98,490 shares in the company. Verisk Analytics has a market capitalisation of $26.3 billion and reported trailing twelve-month revenue of $3.1 billion. Verisk CIO Nick Daffan steps down after 20 years as CTO takes interim role

Verisk Analytics announced that Executive Vice President and Chief Information Officer Nick Daffan has stepped down after approximately two decades with the company. The Chief Technology Officer will assume Daffan's responsibilities on an interim basis whilst Verisk evaluates longer-term leadership plans for the role. Verisk Q2 earnings beat estimates at $1.98 per share on insurance growth

Verisk reported second-quarter 2026 diluted adjusted earnings of $1.98 per share, beating estimates of $1.94 by 2.1%. Revenues reached $806.3 million, topping consensus of $802.4 million and rising 4.3% year over year. Underwriting revenues increased 3.5% to $569 million, driven by annual price increases and expanded catastrophe solutions. Claims revenues rose 6.3% to $237 million, led by anti-fraud analytics and restoration solutions. Adjusted EBITDA grew 4.2% to $463.6 million, with the margin at 57.5%. However, GAAP net income fell 9.8% to $228.6 million due to higher tax rates and increased interest expenses. Free cash flow surged 57.9% to $297.9 million.

US P&C insurers achieve 92.4 combined ratio as premium growth slows to 2.9%

US property and casualty insurers posted a net underwriting gain of $15.8 billion in Q1 2026, rebounding from an $864 million loss in Q1 2025, according to Verisk and the American Property Casualty Insurance Association. The industry's combined ratio improved to 92.4%, down from 99.2% the previous year. Premium growth slowed sharply to 2.9% in Q1 2026, down from 6.8% in Q1 2025 and 9.6% in Q1 2024. Some carriers have begun returning premiums through policyholder dividends, with $6.2 billion distributed. When adjusted for inflation and dividends, written premiums have effectively declined in 2026. Net income after taxes rose to $40.9 billion from $19.4 billion in Q1 2025. Policyholders' surplus increased to $1.24 trillion from $1.09 trillion year-over-year.
