Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance
- 5 years' experience with finance & accounting functions
- Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and compliance requirements and experience with an ERP system
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
- Willing to work additional or irregular hours as needed and allowed by local regulations
Responsibilities
- Responsible for all activities of the accounts receivable function, including direct supervision of accounts receivable personnel, recommending new practices, ensuring compliance, analyzing Accounts Receivable GL accounts, and meeting deadlines
- Ensures timely application of payments from clients
- Responsible for AR month-end closing in the company's ERP
- Meet corporate month-end close and reporting deadlines by preparing/reviewing journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and performing general ledger review/research
- Recommends improvements to accounts receivable processes
- Set objectives for the accounts receivable team that align with the finance department's goals and conduct the yearly performance reviews
- Comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings for the company
- Assist with ad hoc internal requests, reporting, analyses, internal control development and documentation, special projects, and process improvement
- Interact with clients as necessary to explain company invoicing terms and practices
- Prepare management reports and analysis accurately, completely, and timely
- Weekly dashboard reporting on status of A/R, including optimizing DSO
- Recruits, interviews, hires, and trains new teammates
- Oversees the daily workflow of the team
- Provides constructive and timely performance evaluations
- Handles discipline and termination of teammates in accordance with company policy
