What believers are saying

  • XR-Series launches support upgrade demand in high-complexity hematology laboratories.[3]
  • CN-9000 targets large hemostasis labs needing throughput, automation, and closed-tube sampling.[3]
  • Brazil and Illinois expansions strengthen regional manufacturing, distribution, and service capacity.[3]

What critics are saying

  • Roche and Abbott can bundle broader platforms and pressure Sysmex in hospital tenders.
  • Reliance on hematology and hemostasis exposes Sysmex to core-category share loss.
  • New platform launches create upgrade-cycle risk if XN- and CN-series customers defer replacement.

What makes Sysmex unique

  • Sysmex built its hematology franchise from the first Japanese automated blood cell counter in 1963.[1]
  • The company now sells integrated diagnostics across hematology, hemostasis, urinalysis, flow cytometry, and software.[2][3]
  • Its brand-led global expansion spans more than 190 countries and regions.[2][8]
