- Professional certification(s) (e.g. - MCSE, CCNP, or CISSP).
- Solid background in systems engineering and maintenance.
- In-depth understanding of communication protocols (mainly ICMP, TCP/IP) and routing protocols.
- In-depth understanding of deploying Elasticsearch on Linux in a clustered environment.
- Familiarity with virtualization (ESXi, vCenter).
- Familiarity with access control models and network security.
- Solid understanding of server operating systems (Ubuntu 18.04, Windows).
- Knowledge in Computer Science, Telecommunications, or related engineering field (or, at least 2 years of direct experience working as a network engineer).
- Understanding of basic Cisco switching functions (configuring access and trunk ports).
