Requirements
  • Provide leadership around the sales pursuit process and proposal delivery teams for Key Accounts
  • Working with patient services, medical affairs group, market pricing- market entry with conjunction to marketing and sales teams

  • Possess a deep understanding of the healthcare ecosystem (payer, provider, life sciences) alongside knowledge of the digital technology and partnership landscape
  • Demonstrate an understanding of the regulatory landscape and the implications for a patient-and-provider centric strategy
  • Assess the rapidly changing digital health technology landscape to keep track of key developments, innovative ideas, trends, and technologies that can provide life science companies the opportunity to enhance the impact of their therapies
  • Lead cross-functional teams (e.g., medical affairs, market access, sales, HEOR) on how to best apply digital transformation to improve the patient experience and create business value
  • Help define the strategic opportunities and challenges that can be addressed via new digital capabilities (e.g., digital therapeutics (software-as-a-medical device) and wearables), deploying leading practices, enabling high performing teams, and delivering operational excellence
  • Be recognized as a trusted advisor for patient-and-provider digital health solutions with both internal and external stakeholders
  • Selling complex business value-based capabilities involving multiple parties (third party software, partner services, and consulting services)
  • Strong executive level industry contacts are required; national industry contacts preferred
  • Ability to achieve an annual revenue target of $2 Million
  • 10-15+ years' experience working in a Business Development role, with a proven track record of success
  • Extensive knowledge in Medical Affairs, Commercialization on Market Access including comprehensive strategy, pricing and planning
  • Experience selling software/technology, outsourcing or similar technical services. Experience selling project-based consulting services preferred
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required
  • Able to work independently and as a team player in coordinating and driving sales processes
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
  • Aggressive self-starter with strong interpersonal skills
  • Effective time management and organization skills
  • Membership and participation in business community associations
  • Ability to travel on short notice

Responsibilities
  • West Monroe is looking for a Business Development Executive to join our expanding presence in the Market, specifically driving new management/technology consulting business in the Healthcare Industry with a focus on Life Sciences. The West Monroe Life Sciences team helps companies innovate in the digitally enabled patient-centric healthcare ecosystem that links patients, providers, payers, and life sciences companies. This leader will have extensive knowledge working with Pharmaceutical and Biomedical companies with a focus on the "Commercial" part of the Life Sciences Value Chain
  • You will provide support to the delivery teams and practice leaders, including the National Practice, on a variety of new business initiatives. This is an outstanding role for a sales and account management professional with industry relationships to drive network-based sales pursuits providing pharmaceutical, bio-science, and medical device clients a suite of comprehensive, integrated services and solutions to help transform their businesses
