Requirements
  • Must be 18 years or older.
  • Prior experience in event security, guest services, or crowd management preferred
  • Strong situational awareness and ability to follow protocols
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Professional appearance and demeanor
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and remain attentive throughout long shifts
  • Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays during the event season (August–March)
  • Must be comfortable working outdoors and in varying weather conditions
  • FOR SECURITY POSITIONS: Have a current unarmed security license or be willing to go through the process to receive one.
Responsibilities
  • Play a vital role in maintaining a safe and secure environment for all attendees, athletes, staff, and guests across a variety of SMU Athletics events.
  • Be stationed at key access points, crowd control zones, and other critical areas throughout the venue to monitor activity, enforce venue policies, and provide guidance to guests as needed.
  • Check credentials, assist with crowd movement, or help to resolve issues to ensure a smooth and secure event experience.
