Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
  • 10-12 years of relevant experience
  • Strong knowledge in accounting for loans and funds
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Insurance company Investment GAAP and Statutory reporting a plus
  • Ability to effectively communicate complex accounting
  • Pro-active, detail oriented, deadline driven
  • Proven ability to successfully handle close processes, competing priorities and multiple deliverables
  • This role is not eligible for visa sponsorship now or in the future
Responsibilities
  • Responsible for the preparation and review of Global Atlantic’s GAAP 10Q/K investment disclosures for investments in loans and funds
  • Responsible for obtaining and maintaining centralized documentation for loan modifications, TDRs and foreclosures
  • Responsible for quarterly CECL / impairment process for loans and funds
  • Review month end closing procedures
  • Proactively manage developments in GAAP accounting for these asset classes
  • Lead and develop the process for any new investments in these asset classes
  • Responsible for enhancing and performing timely investment analytics
  • Collaborate with external auditors to resolve audit inquiries
  • Perform control functions in compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley Section 404
  • Perform frequent ad hoc analysis and assist with special projects
