We are actively recruiting for a Senior Manager of Medicare Advantage Performance. The Sr. Manager of Medicare Advantage Performance will play a critical role in driving strategy, operations, and performance in Aledade’s multiple Medicare Advantage contracts across multiple payers and markets. She or he will be at the intersection of all key activities: guiding our internal teams across multiple MA contracts and markets, work with payer partners, develop and execute on strategic plans, and provide input for further strengthening Aledade technology for success. The Sr. Manager of Medicare Advantage Performance must be able to establish strong, collaborative relationships with internal and external partners to reach mutually defined quality and cost goals, have experience in achieving 4.5+ Star ratings, and direct working knowledge of key Medicare Advantage performance strategies such as Annual Wellness Visits, complete and accurate diagnosis submission, and care coordination strategies. This role requires demonstrated excellence in creating “buy-in” with internal and external stakeholders to promote and impact positive change in the way healthcare is delivered. We are looking for individuals who genuinely believe that Aledade’s model of physician-led ACO’s can improve quality and lower cost. This position will work remotely with occasional travel to assigned markets.
Your footprint & specific duties within role:
- Lead a team of Medicare Advantage Performance Managers and Analysts within a defined geographical footprint
- Serve as the primary liaison with select Medicare Advantage Payer Partner National points of contact to ensure deliverables are met, develop presentations to facilitate effective Joint Operating Committee (JOC) meetings with payers, and drive ongoing collaboration and coordination with Aledade’s Medicare Advantage Payer Partners
- Guide the development of strategies and operational plans for Medicare Advantage contracts to drive successful outcomes across Aledade’s provider network, including achieving 4.5+ Stars rating and generating shared savings
- Serve as the subject matter expert for Medicare Advantage contracts and be able to translate contract terms into actionable approaches to achieve savings and 4.5+ Star ratings by partnering with Aledade field teams and other internal stakeholders
- Conduct detailed analyses to pinpoint greatest areas for quality and cost interventions across multiple contracts and markets
- Collaborate across Aledade teams to advance Aledade’s strategy at the regional and national levels
- Develop tracking tools and metrics for monitoring progress for each contract and across the portfolio of contracts
- Synthesize performance status including key successes and challenges by contract and communicate to leadership and other stakeholders
- Lead the development and creation of Standard Operating Procedures to drive efficiency and scalability across a rapidly growth Medicare Advantage contract portfolio
- Perform all other duties and special projects as requested by Aledade’s Provider Network leadership team.
- Develop, mentor, and lead a team of Medicare Advantage Performance Managers and Analysts
What we value & position requirements:
- A Master’s degree or other advanced degrees in health services research, health policy, mathematics/statistics, information technology, or other relevant fields is preferred
- Previous supervisory experience is required
- Deep understanding of the Medicare Advantage landscape; Stars program, and value-based care
- 5-10 years of related experience working in the healthcare industry (i.e., health plan, provider groups, hospital, pharmaceutical manufacturer, government, pharmacy chain, management consulting) with a proven track record of successfully managing projects and performance and interfacing with internal and external stakeholders
- Relevant competencies include developing and maintaining customer relationships, analytical problem solving, project management, effective written and verbal communication, and strategic insight
- Must be results-oriented with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously to consistently meet deadlines and client expectations
- Periodic travel to assigned Aledade markets and team retreats is required
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while maintaining focus on key goals.
