Requirements
  • Must be a United States citizen.
  • Must hold an active Secret clearance and be able to obtain a TS/SCI clearance.
  • Must be able to obtain DHS Suitability before starting employment.
  • Must have 5 or more years of directly relevant network administration experience.
  • Must be proficient with multiple operating systems, including Linux/Unix and macOS.
  • Must have strong knowledge and experience with routers, switches, firewalls, and virtual private networks.
  • Must have experience and knowledge in networking and network administration.
  • Must be skilled in working with virtual desktop environments, including Citrix and VMware.
  • Must be able to work collaboratively across physical locations.
  • Must have a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Computer Systems Engineering, or a related degree; alternatively, a high school diploma and 7 or more years of network administration, network engineering, or systems administration experience.
Responsibilities
  • Design and implement infrastructure solutions that enhance mission execution and support command decision-making.
  • Support the integration of new technologies and equipment within lab environments, including developing and refining standard operating procedures and policies.
  • Assess network topology and device configurations, identify critical security vulnerabilities, and recommend security best practices.
  • Provide user support for virtual private networks, virtual desktop infrastructure such as Citrix, and macOS and iOS platforms.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues ranging from basic to complex network problems.
  • Implement granular access controls, monitor system performance and accessibility, establish and maintain backup protocols, and ensure system security.
  • Diagnose and resolve complex enterprise storage issues across local and wide area networks, including supporting replication strategy and remediating storage-related incidents.
  • Design, build, and maintain network environments by configuring routers, switches, and firewalls, updating network devices, and performing IP address audits.
  • Troubleshoot network issues, enforce system standards, and collaborate with stakeholders to optimize infrastructure performance.
  • Secure network systems through policy enforcement, access controls, and continuous monitoring.
Desired Qualifications
  • Familiarity with Palo Alto firewalls and Cisco switches.
  • Experience with converged infrastructure solutions such as FlexPod and NetApp storage systems.
  • Proficiency with Cisco Intersight, vCenter, and virtualization automation and optimization.
  • Strong documentation skills for technical procedures and standard operating procedures.
  • Ability to create and maintain network diagrams.
  • Experience in network design, implementation, and performance tuning.
  • Project management capabilities and time-management skills.
  • Expertise in hardening network devices and infrastructure for enhanced security.
  • DoD 8140.01 IAT Level II certification, Network+ certification, or CCNA certification.
