- Must have a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Computer Systems Engineering, or a related degree; alternatively, a high school diploma and 7 or more years of network administration, network engineering, or systems administration experience.
- Design and implement infrastructure solutions that enhance mission execution and support command decision-making.
- Support the integration of new technologies and equipment within lab environments, including developing and refining standard operating procedures and policies.
- Assess network topology and device configurations, identify critical security vulnerabilities, and recommend security best practices.
- Provide user support for virtual private networks, virtual desktop infrastructure such as Citrix, and macOS and iOS platforms.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues ranging from basic to complex network problems.
- Implement granular access controls, monitor system performance and accessibility, establish and maintain backup protocols, and ensure system security.
- Diagnose and resolve complex enterprise storage issues across local and wide area networks, including supporting replication strategy and remediating storage-related incidents.
- Design, build, and maintain network environments by configuring routers, switches, and firewalls, updating network devices, and performing IP address audits.
- Troubleshoot network issues, enforce system standards, and collaborate with stakeholders to optimize infrastructure performance.
- Secure network systems through policy enforcement, access controls, and continuous monitoring.
- Familiarity with Palo Alto firewalls and Cisco switches.
- Experience with converged infrastructure solutions such as FlexPod and NetApp storage systems.
- Proficiency with Cisco Intersight, vCenter, and virtualization automation and optimization.
- Strong documentation skills for technical procedures and standard operating procedures.
- Ability to create and maintain network diagrams.
- Experience in network design, implementation, and performance tuning.
- Project management capabilities and time-management skills.
- Expertise in hardening network devices and infrastructure for enhanced security.
- DoD 8140.01 IAT Level II certification, Network+ certification, or CCNA certification.
