Requirements
  • At least 3–5 years of hands-on experience installing and servicing fire and electronic security systems.
  • NICE Level I or II certification.
  • A current Nebraska fire inspection and installation license.
  • Proven leadership ability with experience guiding teams and delegating work.
  • Ability to read schematics and wiring diagrams and use software for system configuration and troubleshooting.
  • Strong communication, organization, and customer-facing skills.
  • Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces and perform physically demanding tasks.
  • A valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Ability to pass background and drug screening.
  • Willingness to participate in an on-call rotation and work occasional overtime.
Responsibilities
  • Lead fire and security installation projects from start to finish, ensuring quality work is delivered on time and meets company standards.
  • Act as the on-site point of contact for project managers, customers, and installation teams.
  • Mentor and support junior technicians by developing their technical skills and best practices.
  • Review job sites, read and interpret blueprints and schematics, and determine project requirements.
  • Install, wire, program, and configure commercial security systems, including burglary, access control, and IP video systems.
  • Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues to ensure systems perform properly.
  • Ensure compliance with National Electrical Code standards, manufacturer specifications, and local codes.
  • Maintain clean, professional job sites and complete accurate documentation.
  • Collaborate with project managers and service teams to ensure smooth project handoffs.
  • Assist with inventory tracking, equipment care, and company vehicle upkeep.
  • Participate in ongoing technical, safety, and leadership training.

Omaha-based security business acquired by Pennsylvania company. An Omaha company that provides fire protection and security services has been acquired by Zeus Fire and Security. It was announced Thursday that SEi, a provider of security, fire protection, video surveillance, access control and monitoring solutions was being acquired by the Pennsylvania-based organization. "SEi has established itself as one of the most respected security providers in the country through its commitment to customers, innovation, and operational excellence," Scott R. Elkins, chief executive officer of Zeus Fire and Security, said in a press release. "Their expertise in commercial security, video surveillance, access control, monitoring, fire systems and integrated technology solutions has made them a trusted partner for customers throughout the region. Their strong culture, talented team, and reputation for industry leadership make them an ideal addition to the Zeus family." SEi was founded in 1969 and provides security and life safety solutions, including intrusion detection, video surveillance, access control, fire alarm systems, monitoring services and integrated technologies. The company has been recognized for its work in complex commercial security environments across healthcare, education, financial services, government and commercial markets throughout the Midwest. The acquisition strengthens Zeus' position as a leading commercial fire and security provider by adding a strong market presence across Nebraska, Iowa and Missouri. The acquisition will also create a new regional hub to support growth.
