THE ROLE
This role sits within a dedicated team to service Amazon globally. You will be part of IPG’s dedicated agency for Amazon - Rufus. Rufus is a unique offering to Amazon, powered by Initiative. Our team is passionate about working on Amazon and thrives on the fast-moving pace of the business. As Manager, you will report directly into the Senior Manager. You will also have management responsibility for Analyst(s)support within the team.
As Manager you will develop media knowledge across all media types (TV, Digital, OOH, Print & Radio) across multiple geographies including Europe, APAC, LATAM and North America.
KEY RELATIONSHIPS
As Manager you will develop and maintain close relationships with the following stakeholders.
- Senior Rufus Value team members; the Group Director, Global Value
- Peers across the broader Global Value team
- Country Trading leads and Heads of Media
- Rufus country leads
- Rufus Investment team
THE RESPONSIBILITIES
Client Value Management
- Manage cost tracking and reporting across a range of markets including, briefing of data requests to local teams, checking data for accuracy, analysing results, and working with the local teams to capture all value.
- Act as a first point of escalation and problem solving for any local trading issues which impact Value delivery, escalating and supporting the Senior Manager where appropriate.
- Deliver regular global Value reporting against tight deadlines, whilst maintaining a high degree of accuracy, in a clear and easy to understand format.
- Help streamline and arrange the data collection and reporting process.
- Querying country buying teams on Value delivery and help to summarise to senior members of the team.
- Support the Global Value team leadership in developing additional Value measurement to enhance the broader Value product.
- Share best practices across local markets and support the roll out of new global Value product initiatives.
- Act as the in-house system expert for the Rufus Value team, ensuring the systems are kept up to date with relevant and correct information.
Internal & External Client engagement
- Help Senior Manager prepare country data to share with auditor for VP validation and benchmarking.
- Work with local agency trading teams, acting in a consultant capacity to ensure they fully understand commitment structures and how to optimise delivery.
- Support Senior Manager preparing data for Amazon QBRs.
Team Management
- Line management of the analysts within the Rufus team, managing their workflow and set expectations for development.
- Train junior members of the team in the Amazon specific methodology.
- Set up and manage ways of working across the team to deliver to timelines and meet client expectations.
- Help create and deliver best-in-class media knowledge training for all junior analysts across the broader Global Value team.
