Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in aerospace or a related industry, with a focus on controls engineering and operations management.
  • Proven experience in strategic workforce planning (SWP) and operational leadership.
  • Strong understanding of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies, including Kaizen and problem-solving techniques.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in using relevant software and tools for data analysis and reporting.
  • Ability to obtain DoD security clearance.
Responsibilities
  • Drive the implementation, execution, and coaching of the GE Aerospace Flight Deck system to achieve operational excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Develop and execute strategic initiatives that align with organizational goals and drive long-term operational improvements.
  • Lead and manage section-level operations, including strategic workforce planning (SWP) to ensure optimal resource allocation and talent development.
  • Oversee daily management (DM) activities to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
  • Conduct weekly operating reviews (WOR) and monthly operating reviews (MOR) to monitor performance, identify issues, and develop action plans.
  • Facilitate action planning sessions to address operational challenges and drive improvements.
  • Lead Kaizen events and problem-solving initiatives to foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
  • Prepare and present problem-solving reports (PSR) to senior leadership, highlighting key findings and recommendations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and effective execution of strategic initiatives.
  • Mentor and coach team members to develop their skills and capabilities in line with GE Aerospace's standards and expectations.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience with the GE Aerospace Flight Deck system or similar proprietary lean operating models.
  • Six Sigma certification or equivalent lean manufacturing training.
  • Demonstrated success in leading cross-functional teams and driving operational improvements.
