About the Role:

As our ideal candidate, you will create innovative and compelling written content across a variety of projects and deliverables. You will serve as a strong brand and editorial voice, doing everything from conducting research to conceptualizing ideas, writing, editing and reviewing creative work. In this highly collaborative role, you will be part of a quickly growing team that develops and implements creative across a broad spectrum of marketing and brand touch points.   

You will work under the direction of the Director of Brand and Marketing Design, while collaborating with art directors, video directors, as well as the social media, industry marketing, and product marketing teams to bring the Skydio brand to life across multiple channels, including:

• Interactive/Web/Digital
• Branding
• Marketing 
• Packaging 
• Advertising/Social
• Events

You are an excellent storyteller with the ability to craft clear, compelling copy that puts audience needs at the center and explains complex ideas and technology in ways that are accessible to everyone. You have a portfolio of work that shows a diversity of experience across deliverables and industries.

• 10+ years experience branding, writing and creating content for B2B, either client-side or agency-side.
• You have a strong portfolio that shows a diversity of experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in creative writing, journalism or other editorial related fields.
• Excellent creative strategy development.
• Ability to lead a project from concept to execution while taking direction from the creative director.
• Strong understanding of branding and positioning.
• Experience conducting research and interviewing stakeholders and customers.
• Ability to think strategically, generate big ideas, and execute creative with a high level of craft and attention to detail.
• Expertise in developing copy for a variety of media, including web, ad campaigns, social media, and print.
• Ability to juggle multiple projects with varying deadlines.
• Able to focus on the smallest detail while also keeping the big picture in sight. 
• Executive presence as well as strong leadership skills to influence across organizational lines.
• Outstanding interpersonal, verbal, written communication, presentation, and process facilitation skills with the ability to present views in a compelling manner.
• Highly-collaborative team player with the knowledge, intellect and temperament to work effectively in a fast-paced, energetic and complex environment.

Compensation Range: The annual base salary range for this position is $125,000 - $160,000*. Compensation will vary based on factors, including skill level, proficiencies, transferable knowledge, and experience. In addition to base salary, Skydio full-time employees are eligible to enroll in our benefit plans and take advantage of a variety of incentives and stipends.
