Responsibilities
  • Build and maintain relationships with corporate clients by understanding their businesses, financial goals, and industry trends.
  • Generate ideas and identify opportunities that expand the bank’s client base and generate new business.
  • Perform in-depth financial analysis and due diligence on client companies to assess financial health and valuation.
  • Collaborate with legal and compliance teams to review, draft, and maintain transaction documentation, including contracts and agreements.
  • Collaborate with Capital Markets, Sales and Trading, Research, and Risk Management teams to provide comprehensive client solutions.
  • Engage with clients on climate and energy-transition strategies and sustainable-finance opportunities where applicable.
  • Support senior bankers and deal teams in delivering investment banking solutions for corporate clients.
  • Contribute to mergers and acquisitions, capital raising, and strategic advisory engagements.
  • Conduct industry research, prepare transaction materials, and support client presentations.
  • Deliver high-quality interpretation, support transaction execution, and contribute to client outcomes while collaborating with senior team members and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Partner with other functions and business areas.
  • Take ownership of work and areas of responsibility in line with applicable rules, regulations, and codes of conduct.

Supermarket Income REIT secures $565M debt refinancing to cut costs and extend maturity

Supermarket Income REIT has secured a £445 million debt refinancing to lower borrowing costs and extend average debt maturity. The new facilities comprise a £375 million syndicate and £70 million bilateral arrangement, replacing all existing unsecured loan facilities maturing over the next two years. The refinancing includes four facilities ranging from three to five years, all with two one-year extension options. The average margin across facilities is 1.18% above the Sterling Overnight Index Average, delivering annual interest cost savings of approximately £300,000. The REIT has added Lloyds Bank and ABN AMRO as new banking partners whilst retaining relationships with Barclays, HSBC UK, ING and The Royal Bank of Scotland. The refinancing increases the group's weighted average debt maturity from 2.9 years to 3.8 years.
