  • An earned graduate degree with a major in nursing from an accredited institution, supplemented by 0–1 year of relevant experience.
  • An active, unencumbered Registered Nurse or Advanced Practice Registered Nurse license from the state of residence and the ability to obtain Registered Nurse and Nurse Practitioner licensure in any jurisdiction required by the College, including a valid multi-state license.
  • Either an earned Certified Nurse Educator credential or a commitment to obtain this certification within one year.
  • Current knowledge in multiple areas of nursing practice.
  • Two years of clinical nursing experience within the past five years.
  • Current immunizations and certification records as required by accreditation, facility, or state board of nursing.
  • Ability to stand and walk for prolonged periods during clinical instruction, up to 12 hours.
  • Ability to move throughout clinical units and partner facilities to observe and supervise learners.
  • Ability to demonstrate clinical skills requiring reaching, bending, stooping, and manual dexterity.
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull educational equipment, simulation mannequins, supplies, or teaching materials weighing 25–50 pounds.
  • Ability to respond rapidly in clinical environments during emergency situations to ensure learner and patient safety.
  • Ability to visually assess learner performance, patient conditions, equipment readings, and environmental safety conditions.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in busy or noisy clinical environments, including speaking clearly through personal protective equipment.
  • Ability to maintain the physical and mental stamina required to supervise multiple learners while navigating clinical workflows.
  • Ability to enter and navigate healthcare facilities and work in environments involving bodily fluids, biohazards, cleaning agents, and standard healthcare personal protective equipment.
  • Ability to work variable schedules depending on facility access, including early mornings, nights, or extended clinical shifts.
  • Successful completion of a background check and drug screen is required for employment.
Responsibilities
  • Facilitate learning at supervised on-ground focused education sites, including clinical, simulation, and skills laboratories across the United States.
  • Teach and evaluate learners in Practical Nursing, baccalaureate, and master’s degree nursing programs.
  • Monitor, engage, and maintain open communication with learners regarding attendance, performance, comprehension, and evaluation in accordance with course outcomes, and submit required reports by published deadlines.
  • Adhere to and hold learners accountable for partner facilities’ expectations.
  • Attend nursing faculty meetings, participate in committees, engage in shared decision-making, and perform other required faculty activities.
  • Teach assigned experiential and didactic modalities, conduct evaluations, and provide NCLEX coaching based on College needs.
  • Carry an additional teaching load outside the primary assignment when assigned.
  • Participate in the successful implementation of functional projects as they arise.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Provide annual professional development, subject-matter-expert service, committee service, and learner load consistent with the faculty matrix for assigned courses.
  • Attend New Collaborator Orientation in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Desired Qualifications
  • Two years of experience supervising clinical education activities.
  • One year of experience delivering concept-based nursing education.
  • One year of distance education experience.
  • Familiarity with learning management software, particularly Canvas.
  • Proficiency with modern technology platforms and ability to quickly adapt to various software.
