Requirements
  • 10+ years of industrial and/or commercial electrical project management experience required (MEP experience considered)
  • Bachelor’s degree in construction management, related degree, or equivalent combination of skills and training, preferred
  • Proven experience managing Mission Critical electrical projects
  • Proficient computer skills to include Microsoft Office Suite, Procore, BlueBeam, and Accubid
  • Knowledge of building construction, materials, systems, market conditions and trade practices
  • Excellent communication skills – the ability to articulate a message, be persuasive, and explain complex information to audiences with varying levels of technical knowledge
  • Willingness to travel to various construction sites on a frequent basis
Responsibilities
  • Project Planning: Develop comprehensive project plans, including project scope, objectives, deliverables, and timelines. Identify and allocate necessary resources, both human and material, to ensure successful project execution.
  • Coordinate and manage the project team including subcontractors. Assign tasks, set clear expectations, and provide guidance to ensure efficient resource utilization and adherence to project milestones.
  • Continuously monitor project risks, resolve issues promptly, and adapt plans as needed to minimize project disruptions.
  • Quality Control: Implement and enforce quality control procedures to ensure that construction projects meet the highest standards.
  • Conduct regular inspections and collaborate with stakeholders to address any quality-related concerns.
  • Continually monitor the progress of the construction activities and hold regular status meetings with the project team.
  • Keep the project running on time, ensuring that construction activities move according to the project schedule.
  • Ensure project documents are complete.
  • Budget Management: Manage the project financials, including forecasting and cost control, as well as minimize exposure and risk in the project.
  • Review and negotiate client contracts including terms and conditions, dates, and services.
  • Monitor optimum utilization of resources including labor, materials, and equipment.
  • Quantify cost and/or schedule impacts associated with changes in project design and construction and notify all project stakeholders of the changes.
  • Collaborative Leadership: Oversee a team of project managers, providing leadership, vision, and mentorship to the team.
  • Promote a positive culture, drive collaboration and excellence, and ensure projects are executed to focus on safety and quality.
  • Establish strong relationships with clients and other project stakeholders. Proactively address client concerns, provide exceptional customer service, and ensure client satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Industry Networking: Act as a brand ambassador for the company, promoting its values and expertise in the electrical contracting sector.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, vendors, and other stakeholders to ensure successful project outcomes.
  • Demonstrate the highest level of integrity and ethics with internal and external stakeholders

Quanta Services acquires Davenport's Tri-City Group, adding 2,800 employees to 69,000-strong workforce

Quanta Services has acquired Davenport-based Tri-City Group, a family of contractors and engineering companies specialising in electrical construction, technology solutions and industrial services. The acquisition was completed in the fourth quarter of 2025. Tri-City Group will retain its name, brand and leadership team, including the Palmer Family. The company, which has operated since 1895, employs over 2,800 people and has completed projects in 46 states, two US territories and six countries. Houston-based Quanta Services, which employs approximately 69,000 people, is a specialised contracting company providing integrated engineering, procurement, construction and maintenance services for electric power, renewable energy and underground utility infrastructure. The acquisition strengthens Quanta's electrical infrastructure services capabilities across key US regions.

PWR stock has surged 38.8% over the past 52 weeks, outperforming the S&P 500's 16.9% gain. The company previously exceeded Q3 estimates with revenue of $7.63 billion and adjusted EPS of $3.33. Analysts give PWR a "moderate buy" rating, with an average price target of $479.15.
