Responsibilities
  • Own the complete order-to-cash cycle, including invoice accuracy, customer billing schedules, milestone and recurring billing, credit terms, and dispute resolution.
  • Drive collections and Days Sales Outstanding reduction through a structured escalation ladder, while maintaining receivables aging discipline and provisioning for doubtful debts.
  • Own procure-to-pay, including purchase order discipline, three-way matching, vendor onboarding and know-your-customer checks, invoice approvals, payment runs, and Days Payable Outstanding management.
  • Maintain vendor and customer master-data integrity, including controls over changes to bank details and payment instructions.
  • Enforce maker-checker controls, delegation-of-authority limits, and segregation of duties across disbursements.
  • Own the published close calendar and deliver the monthly close on schedule across India, the United States, and Canada.
  • Prepare and review accruals, prepaids, provisions, depreciation, and balance-sheet schedules while maintaining clean, reconciled ledgers.
  • Perform intercompany reconciliation, recharges, and eliminations, and handle multi-currency accounting and foreign-exchange revaluation across Indian rupees, United States dollars, and Canadian dollars.
  • Produce consolidated and entity-level financial statements with variance commentary explaining changes in results.
  • Design and maintain the monthly management information system pack, including entity- and business-unit-level profit and loss statements, cash position, accounts receivable and payable aging, key ratios, and operational finance metrics.
  • Manage statutory, tax, and internal audits end to end by preparing schedules, responding to queries, closing observations, and reducing repeat findings.
  • Maintain a live compliance calendar with named owners and evidence trails and ensure filings are submitted without missed deadlines or penalties.
  • Track and respond to notices, assessments, and departmental queries across all geographies.
  • Own a rolling 13-week cash-flow forecast at entity and consolidated levels and analyze variances against actuals.
  • Manage banking operations across three geographies, including mandates, signatories, account structures, and banking relationships.
  • Monitor foreign-exchange exposure across Indian rupees, United States dollars, and Canadian dollars and recommend hedging or timing strategies to protect margins.
  • Manage working capital through Days Sales Outstanding, Days Payable Outstanding, and unbilled-revenue management.
  • Build and maintain the annual budget and periodic reforecasts at entity and business-unit levels.
  • Deliver monthly budget-versus-actual analysis with clear drivers and corrective recommendations.
  • Own the cost-allocation methodology across entities and business units, including shared-service and headcount cost attribution.
  • Partner with business leaders on vendor spend, headcount cost, project profitability, and unit economics.
  • Oversee payroll processing across India, the United States, and Canada in coordination with internal Human Resources and external payroll vendors.
  • Reconcile payroll to the general ledger, validate statutory deductions and remittances, and manage payroll-related accruals.
  • Administer reimbursement and travel-and-expense policies, including compliance checks and claim audits.
  • Document and standardize standard operating procedures for recurring finance processes so the function is auditable and transferable.
  • Build the internal-control framework, including approval matrices, reconciliation cadence, review evidence, and fraud-prevention controls over payments.
  • Identify and implement automation and artificial-intelligence-assisted workflows to reduce manual effort and cycle time, including invoice data extraction and auto-coding, automated bank reconciliation, anomaly detection, artificial-intelligence-drafted collections follow-ups and variance commentary, contract abstraction for billing and revenue terms, and automated management information system and dashboard refreshes.
  • Improve system hygiene and data flow across QuickBooks, Zoho Books, banking portals, and spreadsheets, and recommend consolidation or upgrade paths as the business scales.
  • Manage, coach, and develop 1–2 finance team members; set clear goals and review quality of work.
  • Build backup coverage and cross-training so that no critical process has a single point of failure.
Desired Qualifications
  • CPA or Master of Business Administration in Finance; the formal qualification is welcome but not mandatory.
  • Experience in a services, consulting, software-as-a-service, or information-technology business with cross-border revenue.
  • Exposure to revenue recognition.
  • Experience migrating or upgrading accounting systems or implementing accounts-payable automation, business-intelligence, or dashboarding tools.
