Requirements
  • Must have strong problem solving abilities, be able to work both at high and low levels of detail, have excellent communication skills and have experience successfully leading implementation teams.
  • BA/BS degree in engineering, computer science or related field or equivalent education and experience.
  • Proven track record with a minimum of 5 years software/computer engineering experience.
  • Experience with system administration of Windows and Linux servers including shell scripting.
  • Experience developing automation workflows/routines using industry leading tools – Chef & Rundeck.
  • Experience architecting and building solutions leveraging DevOps tools such as Chef, Rundeck, and Git, etc.
  • Experience with Chef (open source and Enterprise) in implementation and configuration.
  • Experience with cloud platforms including: AWS, CenturyLink, etc.
Responsibilities
  • Provide strategy and implementation services that enable Operations to achieve substantial cost reduction and business agility benefits through the use of DevOps and continuous delivery processes.
  • Responsible for technical leadership and delivery in DevOps consulting engagements.
  • Assists in the development of enterprise DevOps strategies and leads parts of all of the automated application build and deployment process.
  • Build out common services that every application can use and consume to monitor, visualize and diagnose their applications and infrastructure.
  • Work with the IT Development and other IT team members to refine and clarify requirements for development process automation.
