- Must have strong problem solving abilities, be able to work both at high and low levels of detail, have excellent communication skills and have experience successfully leading implementation teams.
- BA/BS degree in engineering, computer science or related field or equivalent education and experience.
- Proven track record with a minimum of 5 years software/computer engineering experience.
- Experience with system administration of Windows and Linux servers including shell scripting.
- Experience developing automation workflows/routines using industry leading tools – Chef & Rundeck.
- Experience architecting and building solutions leveraging DevOps tools such as Chef, Rundeck, and Git, etc.
- Experience with Chef (open source and Enterprise) in implementation and configuration.
- Experience with cloud platforms including: AWS, CenturyLink, etc.
- Provide strategy and implementation services that enable Operations to achieve substantial cost reduction and business agility benefits through the use of DevOps and continuous delivery processes.
- Responsible for technical leadership and delivery in DevOps consulting engagements.
- Assists in the development of enterprise DevOps strategies and leads parts of all of the automated application build and deployment process.
- Build out common services that every application can use and consume to monitor, visualize and diagnose their applications and infrastructure.
- Work with the IT Development and other IT team members to refine and clarify requirements for development process automation.
