  • Ability to count and perform physical inventories of products and retail assets.
  • Proven accuracy in performing mathematical calculations.
  • A minimum of two years of related experience in retail, hospitality, or another related service industry.
  • Smart Serve certification.
  • Food Handlers Certificate.
Responsibilities
  • Provide prompt, friendly, and courteous service to customers.
  • Provide full service for customer food, beverage, and retail purchases.
  • Assemble, portion, heat, cook, and bake food items according to established specifications.
  • Prepare, dispense, and serve alcoholic beverages according to established recipes, standards, and Smart Serve guidelines.
  • Prepare and serve hot and cold non-alcoholic beverages according to established specifications.
  • Process customer retail purchases and payouts accurately through Ontario Lottery and Gaming lottery terminals and point-of-sale systems.
  • Address customer product and service needs, requests, and concerns promptly.
  • Pick up, count, and verify floats daily.
  • Collect and remit daily cash receipts with supporting paperwork.
  • Clean and sanitize work-preparation and service areas and all food-service equipment.
  • Complete and submit required opening and closing inventory counts and documentation for food and beverage products, race programs, and lottery tickets.
  • Perform daily inventory of retail products as required by the manager.
  • Assist in monitoring product inventories and reporting deficiencies.
  • Maintain and replenish supplies in service areas.
  • Report supply or equipment deficiencies to the Manager on Duty.
  • Assist in merchandising products and services.
  • Train and assist new personnel in established procedures and the safe use of equipment.
  • Direct customer complaints beyond the scope of the position to the Manager on Duty.
  • Ensure adherence to applicable government regulations and company policies.
Desired Qualifications
  • A Secondary School Diploma is an asset.
