Requirements
  • Fluency in English and Spanish.
  • Ability to work onsite Monday through Friday in New York.
  • Expert knowledge of the personal injury pre-litigation process.
  • Experience managing a high-volume personal injury caseload.
  • Experience working with bodily injury claims, medical records, insurance documentation, and case management systems.
  • Proficiency in Litify and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and client-service skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
Responsibilities
  • Contact clients within 24 hours of case assignment to introduce yourself and explain the next steps in the case process.
  • Maintain regular communication with clients and provide case-status updates as directed by the supervising attorney.
  • Communicate treatment-related updates and documentation requests in accordance with firm procedures.
  • Return client calls and voicemails the same business day.
  • Maintain contact with clients at least every 14 days.
  • Notify clients regarding settlement-related developments and coordinate communications at the direction of the supervising attorney.
  • Follow up with insurance carriers after settlement demands have been submitted by the attorney.
  • Facilitate communications with insurance adjusters, medical providers, and other third parties under attorney supervision.
  • Confirm and document available insurance coverages, including bodily injury, personal injury protection, and uninsured/underinsured motorist coverage.
  • Request and follow up on insurance declaration pages and supporting documentation.
  • Coordinate the transmission and receipt of settlement-related documentation as directed by the attorney.
  • Coordinate mediation scheduling and prepare case materials for attorney review.
  • Maintain complete, accurate, and timely case notes in Litify.
  • Update client files and supporting documentation.
  • Track outstanding records, bills, liens, and other case-related documents.
  • Review provider balances and obtain appropriate internal approvals before processing case-related settlements.
  • Assist with demand package preparation and case organization for attorney review.
  • Deliver professional, responsive, and detail-oriented client service.
  • Address client questions and concerns promptly and courteously.
  • Maintain confidentiality of all client information.
  • Ensure adherence to firm procedures and service standards.
