Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or equivalent professional experience.
  • At least 5 years of progressive systems administration experience, including at least 2 years in a senior or L3 capacity.
  • Deep expertise in Microsoft Azure, including Azure Virtual Machines, Azure Networking, Azure Active Directory, and Azure Security Center.
  • Mastery of Microsoft 365 administration, including Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, and Microsoft 365 Groups architecture.
  • Strong experience with Active Directory and Azure Active Directory, including Group Policy, role-based access control, and Conditional Access Policies.
  • Proficiency with virtualization technologies including VMware vSphere and Citrix Virtual Desktops on Azure.
  • Hands-on experience with network technologies including firewalls, Cisco Meraki, DHCP, DNS, VPN, and network segmentation.
  • Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools including Terraform, Ansible, and Puppet, and scripting languages including PowerShell, Python, and Bash.
  • Familiarity with PCI-DSS, SOC 2 Type II, and SOX IT General Controls.
  • Experience with cloud-based backup solutions and disaster recovery planning.
  • Knowledge of Zero Trust security architecture principles and implementation.
  • Experience with security information and event management tools, endpoint detection and response, and vulnerability management platforms.
  • Familiarity with IT service management platforms such as ServiceNow and Jira Service Management, and ITIL best practices.
  • Ability to write scripts and use APIs to automate workflows and integrate systems.
  • Ability to clearly convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Responsibilities
  • Serve as the escalation point for complex infrastructure issues from L1/L2 helpdesk support teams.
  • Design, implement, and maintain secure, highly available infrastructure across private, public, and hybrid cloud environments, primarily Microsoft Azure.
  • Lead the architecture and deployment of IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS solutions aligned with fintech regulatory and compliance requirements.
  • Administer and harden Windows Server environments, Active Directory, Azure Active Directory, and Microsoft 365 services including Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, and OneDrive.
  • Manage endpoint security and mobile device management through Microsoft Intune/Endpoint Manager and JAMF, and enforce Zero Trust security principles.
  • Implement and maintain identity and access management controls, including Azure AD Conditional Access, multi-factor authentication, and single sign-on integrations.
  • Partner with network infrastructure teams on firewalls, Cisco Meraki switches, and access points to ensure segmentation and security best practices.
  • Develop and maintain infrastructure-as-code using Terraform, Ansible, or PowerShell DSC to drive automation.
  • Administer and support VMware vSphere and Citrix Virtual Desktops on Azure.
  • Manage cloud-based backup and disaster recovery solutions, own RTO/RPO objectives, and conduct regular disaster recovery testing.
  • Monitor, analyze, and optimize system performance, capacity, and security posture across infrastructure components.
  • Collaborate with Information Security to maintain compliance with fintech regulatory frameworks and internal security policies.
  • Evaluate and recommend emerging technologies to improve operational efficiency, reduce cost, and strengthen security.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, runbooks, and standard operating procedures.
  • Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior systems administrators and helpdesk staff.
  • Partner with Engineering, Security, and Compliance teams to support business-critical initiatives.
  • Coordinate with managed service and outsourcing partners to ensure SLA adherence and compliance obligations are met.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience in a fintech, financial services, or similarly regulated industry.
  • Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Certified Azure Administrator Associate, MS-102, CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or equivalent.
  • Experience with Salesforce administration fundamentals.

InterVest acquires Kapitus, expanding $10B small business lender's capital base

InterVest Capital Partners has acquired Kapitus, a small business lender that has provided $10 billion in growth capital to over 65,000 businesses since 2006. The acquisition strengthens Kapitus's capital base and expands its access to financing for small businesses nationwide. Kapitus will continue operating independently, offering term loans, revenue-based financing, equipment financing, SBA loans, and revolving lines of credit. The partnership provides Kapitus with additional growth capital and access to InterVest's commercial finance expertise and network of portfolio companies serving small and mid-sized businesses. InterVest Capital Partners is a New York-based alternative investment manager focused on niche credit strategies and specialty finance. Since 1999, the firm has established over 160 funds with committed capital exceeding $25 billion.
