The Role:
The Technical Enablement Manager will carry out the successful execution of Ping’s internal Technical Enablement Program tailored for the Sales Engineering’ organization and expanding into other Field Technical roles as needed. The goal of this role is to execute on our mission of equipping Ping Identians with the business and technical skills and industry knowledge to create, deploy and maintain world class identity solutions, and our vision of empowering Ping Identity’s technical field to create solutions for customers’ complex identity and access management challenges. This role is expected to ensure that Technical Field teams are equipped with the technical tools, value selling, skills development, training and resources needed to be effective in relaying the business value of Ping’s solutions to our customers.
The Team:
As a Tech Enablement Manager at Ping Identity, you will play a key role in being a member of a world-class centralized Technical Enablement team, supporting highly effective global sales engineering teams . The Technical Enablement team fosters the cultural synergy between sales engineering, selling pods and product engineering to be at the forefront of the latest and greatest at Ping. This role will report into the Sr Tech Enablement Manager.
Responsibilities:
- Constantly iterate and implement the Technical Enablement Program vision as defined by Sr Director of Technical Enablement
- Lead the strategy, execution, logistical planning and support live / recorded onboarding and ongoing Technical Enablement events by being Ping’s SME / Sr. Instructor
- Update tools, training and resource materials for all live / recorded onboarding and ongoing Technical Enablement programs
- Manage all aspects of Technical Enablement including but not limited to resource coordination, communications, calendar invites, enrollments, tracking/reporting, surveys, room setup
- Drive the development and implementation of growth paths and value selling skills for field technical roles at Ping
- Collaborate effectively with leadership and cross-functional stakeholders to scale existing or build new training and knowledge sharing programs, develop and track key performance indicators, and enable the overall productivity of the technical field organizations with tailored content and resources
- Plan, deliver, host, participate, execute, and support real-time live and virtual events hosted by the Enablement Team, such as Kick-Off, Mid-Year QBRs, Onboarding Programs
- Be an active participant in all of the Enablement Programs
Required Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science or related field, or 5+ years of equivalent experience
- Understanding of security software, identity and access management
- Understanding of Content Management Systems (CMS) and Learning Management Systems (LMS), as well as badging systems like Credly
- Solid attention to detail and organization
- Bring a solid understanding and passion for adult learning and measuring program effectiveness
- Ability to work with leadership/stakeholders across multiple groups and levels
- Ability to build peer support and strong internal-company relationships with other key personnel
- Energy, drive, commitment and passion
- Working hours range on average from 8AM to 5PM Monday through Friday. Due to the global nature of Ping’s business, working outside of these hours may be required in order to fulfill job requirements
- Minimal travel for hosting events may be required - up to 10%
Preferred Skills/Abilities:
- Program Manager Certification (PgMP)
- Expertise with learning tools such as PollEverywhere
- Expertise with Highspot, Docebo, or similar CMS/LMS systems
- Expertise with Credly
- Technical Experience related to:
- HTTP and related technologies
- SaaS
- SAML, OAuth, OpenID Connect
- APIs
