Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field is required.
  • At least 5 years of DevOps, platform engineering, or site reliability engineering experience in an enterprise environment is required.
  • A strong Java development background, including the ability to read and debug Java and Spring Boot codebases, is required.
  • Hands-on experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or similar tools is required.
  • Proficiency with AWS cloud services and cloud-native architecture patterns is required.
  • Experience with Docker and Kubernetes or EKS is required.
  • Infrastructure-as-Code experience with Terraform or AWS CloudFormation is required.
  • A solid understanding of AWS networking, security groups, VPCs, and IAM is required.
  • Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools such as CloudWatch, Datadog, Splunk, or PagerDuty is required.
  • Experience working in onshore and offshore delivery models is required.
  • Understanding of SQL, XML, JSON, REST and SOAP web services, and middleware technologies is required.
  • Candidates must be comfortable working in a fully remote, asynchronous-first environment.
Responsibilities
  • Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for Java-based microservices and enterprise healthcare applications.
  • Customize CI/CD pipelines with build stages, test automation, artifact management, and deployment strategies.
  • Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration using Infrastructure-as-Code tools.
  • Deploy and manage AWS infrastructure, including EC2, S3, ECS/EKS, RDS, and networking components.
  • Manage S3 bucket policies, IAM roles, file permissions, and EFS/NFS mount and server path configurations.
  • Implement and manage monitoring and logging solutions using CloudWatch, Log Insights, ELK, Splunk, or similar centralized logging tools.
  • Troubleshoot application, infrastructure, and deployment issues using Linux administration and debugging skills.
  • Write and maintain Bash, Shell, and Python automation scripts for deployment and operational tasks.
  • Manage Git source control and branching strategies, including integration with CI/CD pipelines.
  • Apply security best practices to CI/CD, infrastructure, and application deployment, including secrets management, IAM policies, vulnerability scanning, and HIPAA compliance controls.
  • Support containerization and orchestration with Docker and Kubernetes, including EKS and on-premises clusters.
  • Collaborate with Java development teams to embed DevOps practices throughout the software delivery lifecycle.
  • Ensure system reliability, performance, and security compliance across healthcare environments.
  • Support integration with healthcare ecosystem partners.
  • Drive automation initiatives to improve deployment frequency, reduce lead time, and minimize incidents.
  • Mentor developers on DevOps tooling, practices, and cloud-native patterns.
  • Manage configuration and environment consistency across development, staging, and production.
  • Collaborate with onshore and offshore teams in an Agile delivery model.
  • Support EDI healthcare transaction pipelines, including 837, 834, 835, 270/271, 276/277, and 278, from an infrastructure and integration standpoint.
  • Conduct root cause analysis for production incidents and drive post-mortem processes.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience in healthcare IT, including Medicare Advantage, Medicaid, or commercial insurance domains.
  • Knowledge of HIPAA compliance, PHI data handling, and healthcare security standards.
  • Familiarity with EDI healthcare transactions, including 837, 834, 835, 270/271, 276/277, and 278.
  • Exposure to healthcare ecosystem platforms such as HealthRules, TriZetto, NASCO, Advantasure, or Change Healthcare.
  • Experience supporting healthcare core administration systems, including claims adjudication and enrollment platforms.
  • AWS certifications such as Solutions Architect or DevOps Engineer, or equivalent certifications.
  • Experience with Agile/Scrum delivery and tools such as Jira and Confluence.
  • Familiarity with secrets management tools such as HashiCorp Vault and AWS Secrets Manager.
