Requirements
  • BS or MS in Computer Science, Robotics, or a related field
  • Prior experience leading engineering teams working on complex software development and integration projects
  • 5+ years of experience in hands-on software development with expertise in Linux kernel, C/C++, and embedded environments
  • Experience with networking fieldbus protocols (EtherCAT, Profinet, CANbus, Ethernet/IP) and robotics kinematics and motion control
  • Proficiency in Robot Operating System (ROS2) and integrating sensors and computer vision into automated systems
  • Experience with software integrations with hardware systems lacking an API or library
  • Understanding of robotics kinematics, 3D transformations, quaternions, and linear algebra
  • Experience with Linux installation, configuration, and usage in a complex network environment
  • Knowledge of motion control concepts and setting up motor drives
  • Experience integrating computer vision and sensors into an automation environment
Responsibilities
  • Lead a team to develop a unified robotics platform for high-performance, real-time Linux-based system for robotics and industrial automation
  • Engage in hands-on software development focusing on kernel level Linux customization and robotic control algorithms
  • Organize team's work, provide mentorship, and ensure projects align with strategic goals
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams for software-hardware integration and testing protocols
  • Champion safety and code quality, share knowledge through documentation and technical presentations
  • Drive technical excellence, offer guidance and mentorship to team members
