Requirements
  • Be enrolled in a law programme in Germany and be in the fifth semester or beyond.
  • Have German language proficiency at C2 level and English language proficiency at C1 level or above.
  • Have an interest in data protection.
  • Have first exposure to or genuine interest in civil law and intellectual property law.
  • Work in a structured and reliable manner.
  • Write clearly and precisely.
  • Work independently and with ambition while collaborating closely with the senior legal team.
  • Use judgement about what can be decided independently and when to consult a senior team member.
Responsibilities
  • Review smaller vendor contracts against standard criteria, flag issues for Legal Counsels, and take routine cases through approval.
  • Classify vendors into vendor categories and maintain an organized contract filing system.
  • Review data processing agreements and vendor privacy terms, maintain records of processing activities, and flag where personal data is involved.
  • Draft and manage low-level partnership agreements with student associations from first draft through signature.
  • Support the team on civil law and intellectual property topics, including trademark and copyright questions and content usage.
  • Develop the ability to handle simple business-to-business cases independently over the first months.
