Requirements
  • 2–5 years of experience in accounting or finance operations, ideally at a startup or fast-growing company; SaaS experience is a strong plus.

Responsibilities
  • Own day-to-day bookkeeping, vendor and customer invoicing, goods and services tax and tax deducted at source filings, payroll compliance, and statutory filings for the India entity.
  • Perform bank, vendor, and intercompany reconciliations, using systems that flag exceptions instead of requiring line-by-line manual matching.
  • Own the month-end close calendar, journal entries, accruals, and reporting packages, while reducing close time quarter over quarter.
  • Manage invoice processing, payment runs, collections follow-up, and expense management.
  • Coordinate with auditors, tax consultants, and the company secretary.
  • Maintain audit-ready documentation continuously.
  • Identify manual, repetitive finance workflows and configure existing tools or use artificial intelligence/no-code automation to eliminate manual work.
  • Automate or AI-assist at least 2–3 previously manual, recurring finance tasks end-to-end within six months.
  • Maintain clean, audit-ready books continuously.
  • Focus on judgment-heavy work such as variance analysis, compliance risk, and vendor negotiations rather than data entry.
