Requirements
  • Requires mastery level knowledge of specialty area and working knowledge of several other areas, typically obtained through advanced education combined with experience.

  • Requires a Baccalaureate degree (or for degrees earned outside of the United States, a degree which satisfies the requirements of 8 C.F.R. § 214.2(h)( 4)(iii)(A) and minimum of 10 years of relevant experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience.
Responsibilities
  • Managing Operations Project Metrics such as Predicted Product Costs and Line Yields
  • Generating Design Transfer Deliverables (Plans and Reports)
  • Working with Stakeholders to set Manufacturing Strategy including: Manufacturing Site Selection, Contract Manufacturing Statement of work, Capacity Analysis, Capital, Manufacturing Process Validation Planning/Strategy, Equipment Supplier Selection, Pilot Lines/scale up requirements (as needed by program)
  • Driving Process Development: Designs manufacturing processes, procedures and production layouts for assemblies, equipment installation, processing, machining and material handling. Designs arrangement of machines within plant facilities to ensure most efficient and productive layout. Designs sequence of manufacturing operations and specifies procedures for the fabrication of tools and equipment and other functions that affect product performance. Ensures processes and procedures are in compliance with regulations.
  • Lead the Extended Operations Team to ensure on-time and on-budget performance through the new product development cycle.
  • Follow compliance processes for New Product Development
  • Execute pre-established Operations Strategies.
