Job Summary:

This position is responsible for directing and managing complex, large scale programs/projects from beginning to end using agile practices and ways of working, including development of delivery strategies, planning, budgeting, scheduling, resourcing and resource management, risk/issue identification and resolution, and reporting.

Major Tasks, Responsibilities, and Key Accountabilities

• Develop strategies and approaches for complex projects or programs to ensure integration across BJ’s while also delivering business value rapidly and iteratively.
• Identify resource requirements including people, organizations, financial, hardware, software and services for multiple projects or a program, and manage overall program budget, business case, and measurement of value delivered on an ongoing basis.
• Provide program management direction and leadership to other project managers where appropriate. Coach, mentor, and motivate team members. Manage other project and program managers, providing guidance, coaching, and mentoring.
• Identify and manage dependencies across the program. Facilitate and communicate resolution to complex, strategic issues with executive level management.
• Build on best practices for program management in an agile environment, including establishing documentation requirements for compliance, and driving  continuous improvement of program performance.
• Lead discovery activities with business partners at all levels to understand business objectives, assumptions and constraints related to a solution opportunity.
• Apply extensive industry knowledge, and SAP S4 HANA knowledge to develop a macro view of current and target processes and systems.
• Stand up the SAP S4 HANA program in terms of processes, roles and responsibilities, ways of working in an agile way
• Form opinions, develop models and facilitate interaction, which lead to solutions that bridge the gap between current and target state.
• Support upskilling of team members in the program on what it takes to execute a successful S4 HANA program
• Identify and resolves issues and conflicts within the project team. Delegate tasks and responsibilities to appropriate personnel. Set and continually manage project expectations with team members and other stakeholders.
• Develop comprehensive communications and operational readiness plans for key projects and programs. Respond to customer and business partner requests for service. Prepare and deliver effective, timely, meaningful communications (written and verbal) throughout the program lifecycle to program participants, senior leadership, and the organization.
• Keep pace with emerging program and portfolio management trends and best practices.

Qualifications

• 10+ years related experience
• Experience managing large S4 HANA implementation programs
• Experience executing large scale implementations using agile methodologies and practices

This is a hybrid role. Tuesday through Thursday are in-office days at BJ's Club Support Center in Marlborough, MA and Monday and Friday are remote days.

In accordance with the Pay Transparency requirements, the following represents a good faith estimate of the compensation range for this position. At BJ’s Wholesale Club, we carefully consider a wide range of non-discriminatory factors when determining salary. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, education, experience, and qualifications. The pay range for this position is starting from $134,000.00.
