JOB TITLE: Lead Software Engineering

REMOTE TYPE: Office Worker

JOB LOCATION: 208 S. Akard St., Dallas, TX 75202 [and various unanticipated locations throughout the U.S.; may work from home]

DUTIES: Lead the technical design and development of cross-functional, multi-platform application systems while having the opportunity to remain in a hands-on engineering role. Provide functional and technical leadership and mentor junior software engineers. Work with other Lead Engineers, Principal Engineers, Architects, Product Managers, and Business stakeholders to identify technical and functional needs of systems based on priority. Write great quality code with a relentless passion for automated testing and validation. Enforce company policies in the areas of development methodology, architecture, security, automation, configuration management and compliance. Perform complex engineering activities for performance tuning, monitoring, deployment and production support. Implement, maintain and update CICD pipelines. Design domain model to persist data in Relational (Oracle, Postgres) or NoSQL (Cassandra, Cosmos and MongoDB) databases in optimal way. Develop test automation scripts using automation frameworks. Build web applications using Java, Spring and REST. Utilize cloud technologies for application delivery. Build Java-based high-volume/high-transaction applications. Utilize HTML5, JavaScript frameworks (Angular, React), and CSS3. Work within Agile/Scrum/Kanban development team.

REQUIREMENTS: Requires a Master’s degree, or foreign equivalent degree, in Applied Computer Science, Information Systems, or Electrical Engineering and two (2) years of experience in the job offered, or two (2) years of experience in a related occupation building web applications using Java, Spring and REST; utilizing cloud technologies for application delivery; utilizing HTML5, JavaScript frameworks (Angular, React), and CSS3; working within Agile/Scrum/Kanban development team; and building Java-based high-volume/high-transaction applications.
