- Candidates must have experience in Microsoft Windows System Administration.
- Candidates must have experience with Microsoft Clustering.
- Candidates must have experience with Active Directory including DNS and Sites/Subnets considerations.
- Perform senior level troubleshooting and root cause analysis for Active Directory related issues including DNS zone issues; review Sites and Subnets; verify if the Active Directory issue is within the scope identified by the IT Risk team; if not, refer the issue to the IT Risk Active Directory workgroup.
- Troubleshoot Microsoft Clustering issues; verify issues are not caused by non-Cluster aware software installations; investigate heartbeat, quorum, cluster services, and cluster resource issues; engage and collaborate with Microsoft when needed.
- Take over for the Level 2 team for out of warranty servers where site involvement is needed to engage original equipment manufacturer or third-party hardware support teams; own, manage, and track repairs.
- Own server issues that are outside of, or unresolvable by, Level 2 team skill sets.
- Provide client support by offering recommendations for configuration or other improvements to the environment.
