- A valid Class A commercial driver's license with a Hazardous Materials endorsement, a clean driving record, and a valid medical card are required.
- Six months of experience driving tractor-trailers and/or straight trucks is required.
- Experience conducting pre-trip and post-trip vehicle evaluations is required.
- Experience operating straight trucks and tractor-trailers up to 26 and 53 feet long is required.
- Experience with Department of Transportation compliance, logging hours, and roadside inspections is required.
- Ability to pass a seven-year FADV review in the Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse is required.
- Confidence completing Level 1 through Level 3 road checks is required.
- Willingness to work full-time hours of approximately 40 hours per week is required.
- Proven longevity in previous employment is required.
- Safely collect, deliver, and store medical waste containers at customer locations.
- Provide customer service and build positive customer relationships.
- Operate vehicles safely.
- Complete deliveries according to schedule and clearly communicate changes or challenges as they arise.
- Load and unload materials and prioritize and organize the truck according to the schedule and operational needs.
- Manage a route according to leadership direction and deliver timely, efficient, and effective service.
- Comply with Department of Transportation regulations, log hours, and complete roadside inspections.
- Perform heavy lifting.
- A flexible, can-do attitude and a strong customer focus are desired.
- On-time delivery practices are desired.
