Requirements
  • Demonstrated experience (6+ years) in effectively managing a high-performing and diverse team across multiple layers; specifically building trust, setting and communicating ambitious goals, holding yourself and others accountable to goals, and coaching towards results to improve and develop staff.
  • Demonstrated experience (5+) of managing volunteer training programs for electoral campaigns or grassroots organizing programs, creating training materials and curriculums to further audiences’ skills.
  • Experience in leading high-impact, inspiring trainings with a focus on high-quality instruction, clear norms and expectations setting, and excellent adult learning.
  • Experience in leveraging data to indicate where coaching and support may be needed and drive towards metrics to increase volunteer and staff capacity.
  • Understanding that coaching and development are the core of building excellent staff, volunteers and ultimately, the best voter outreach.
  • Measurable success in training senior staff, organizers, and volunteers, and differentiating learning, delivery, and content across all three.
  • Experience or prior training in developing inclusive and culturally competent volunteer training materials, both training decks and toolkits.
  • Demonstrated commitment to Reproductive Freedom for All’s mission, values and goals.
  • Readiness and enthusiasm to make connections with people of different lived experiences; success in managing teams of individuals with diverse backgrounds.

Responsibilities
  • Design and deliver inspiring, high-quality training programs, across formats and scales, that equip staff and volunteer/member audiences with foundational and advanced organizing skills.
  • Lead and expand cross departmental efforts to develop training content for capacity building skills and direct voter contact outreach.
  • Work collaboratively with leaders across the organization to design and lead scalable train-the-trainer programs that equip organizers and volunteers/members with the skills, confidence, and tools to lead trainings independently.
  • In close collaboration with the Senior Director of National Organizing, set the vision and strategy for cross-organizational training by partnering with coalitions and allied organizations to align on best practices, shared priorities, and continuous improvement.
  • Set and drive a department-wide onboarding strategy in close collaboration with State Campaigns, National Organizing, and Digital Organizing leadership, ensuring all new Organizers are equipped with the skills, tools, and expectations needed to deliver measurable impact.
  • In collaboration with the Senior Director of National Organizing, develop, implement, and execute on the program’s budget.
  • Drive the development of standardized organizing resources, including templates, toolkits, and organizer-facing materials, designed for adaptation by chapter state and national program leads nationwide.
  • Serve as a mentor and though partner to Organizing staff, fostering professional growth, leadership development, and a strong culture of learning.
  • Manage, coach, and develop the Training Manager, with an eye towards developing high quality learning designers who are also both skilled educators and experienced organizing and campaign leaders;

  • Experience in the reproductive freedom space and advocacy background;
  • Experience or prior training in developing inclusive and culturally competent volunteer training materials, both training decks and toolkits;
  • Additional language skills in addition to English, such as Spanish.
