Requirements
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in the transaction monitoring domain, specifically within pre-sales, product consulting, or a client-facing technical capacity.
  • A bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Finance, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a closely related discipline.
  • Strong proficiency in SQL and data visualization, including the ability to query data to identify red flags.
  • Ability to discuss application programming interfaces, webhooks, and system latency with engineers.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify, interpret, and act upon new and evolving fraud patterns using data to inform product recommendations.
  • Written and verbal communication and presentation skills sufficient to articulate complex technical and product concepts clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Adaptability and willingness to learn new technologies, methodologies, and industry best practices in fraud, risk, and product management.
  • Customer-focused and problem-solving orientation with the ability to drive product adoption.
Responsibilities
  • Define the roadmap for the first-generation transaction monitoring system, transitioning from manual spreadsheets to automated, artificial intelligence-native, rule-based, and machine-learning-driven detection.
  • Partner with Engineering to design a scalable real-time risk engine capable of handling high transaction volumes with low latency.
  • Lead the ideation and launch of core modules including rule engines, alert management, case investigation workflows, and suspicious activity report filing.
  • Act as the voice of the customer by working with internal Compliance and Operations teams to understand pain points and build efficiency-focused tools.
  • Serve as the primary functional and product point of contact for customer requirements, overseeing successful solution implementations and product adoption.
  • Design monitoring approaches that reduce false positives.
  • Establish a continuous feedback loop in which customer feedback influences product iteration.
  • Stay current on anti-money laundering, Bank Secrecy Act, know-your-customer, and sanctions regulations to ensure the product is compliant by design.
  • Identify and build detection logic for emerging financial crime patterns such as structuring, rapid movement of funds, and mule accounts.
  • Evaluate and integrate third-party data providers for watchlist screening and identity verification.
  • Consult with potential and existing clients to develop and implement customized fraud prevention rules and strategies using the product suite.
  • Analyze emerging fraud patterns and adapt detection methodologies, advising clients on how product capabilities can address evolving threats.
  • Conduct pre-sales demonstrations and provide product consultations for prospective clients, articulating the product's value proposition.
  • Troubleshoot and debug existing transaction monitoring systems, providing guidance on product and rule configuration and optimization to ensure performance and issue resolution.
  • Gather and synthesize market insights and client feedback to collaborate with product, engineering, and sales teams on product roadmap enhancements and future feature development.
  • Develop and deliver product training for clients and internal teams on product functionalities and best practices for fraud and risk management.
Desired Qualifications
  • CAMS or CFE certification is a significant plus.
  • Familiarity with product lifecycle management and Agile methodologies is a plus.
